I noticed he seemed to change his putting stroke as well. He use to line up putts on the toe of his putter. Seemed like from what I saw on Sunday, he lines them up in the middle of the putter.

BK started playing the Mavrik at the beginning of 2020. Before that he played the M5 and other TM drivers after Nike exited stage left on clubs.

Both the upcoming PGA and US Open have tight fairways with thick/long rough.

The M5 with more spin/control is just the ticket for these two tourneys compared to the low spin monster Mavrik.

I know. I watched. Poor attempt at a joke about the Mavrik's hook tendency. For me, that is. "Your results may vary." I really think it was his shoes that caused the bad shot.

Yes, he started the year at the HSBC in Abu Dhabi with a SIM. He switched back to M5 in Saudi Arabia, but I believe he put the Mavrik in play midway through the event.

Probably too low spin and if he's struggling why not just go back to what works.

 

Not sure why a guy like Brooks who doesn't have to switch every year is forcing these equipment changes. I think he will go back to his old putter at some point too

Mavrik Triple D isn't even low spin. It as 8 and 8 weights. Its designed to have more spin than the retail SZ along with being more forgiving. He's just searching but id expect the mavrik to remain. His tee to green has been good and he was solid in driving accuracy at the WGC.

I wouldn't be surprised if the old faithful putter made a return.

WRX doesn't play the stock weight setup, let alone a tour pro in a tour club! Highly doubt he's 8 and 8 in the Triple D when he uses it.

I wish he would. I have a brand new NP2 BB and the value seems to have dropped since he switched.

Probably better and more of a big deal for him to go back to the old Mitsubishi Diamana D+ vs AV that he's had in. That always threw me off more than him changing into Mavrik.
