Yep, that's stock so no customization needed.  Good for you that you fit into a stock option.  Enjoy the irons.

I went to the PGA Tour Super Store today to order a few fairway woods. I was told they just received an “emergency bulletin” from Ping stating all orders will take a minimum 10 weeks to deliver. The store rep said compared to all companies Ping is by far in the worst shape.

Ping's own product availability states that most irons are 50-60 days lead time.  Worse if you ask for a shaft they don't have.

That's good for you. Not for me I ordered mine LST 10.5 tensi orange x-flex before you and I still don't have it. And I was told not till July.

Got my irons today. Ordered 3/20. Arrived 65 days later. Of course I picked up the iron yips in my round on Saturday that I'm working through but so far so good on the last 1/2 of my bucket today. They still fly high even though I did power spec lofts and they do appear longer than my G700 by a little bit.

I think that’s the shaft. 
I tried to order one with a Tensei orange and discount dans wouldn’t take my order. Said ping was having issues getting that shaft

Mine were the same shafts in stiff, 5-SW. Took 5 weeks to the day. Ordered 3/22 arrived 4/29. Not sure why yours are taking so long.

I think the tensei orange is giving Ping problems across all weights and flex.

Question for you all. Are you guys customizing the g425 driver and is that why it's taking so long? At my PGA superstore there are tons just sitting on the shelf...plenty of shaft and flex options. I bought my G425 from them early March and absolutely love this thing. Tried about 3 of the shaft options on the 425 max driver, and ended up hitting the Alta CB best so that's what I went with.

Hope you all get yours soon...cause this club is awesome

I preordered on the first day they were taking orders. Tensei raw in driver and 3 wood, two days before shipping got a call that the Tensei would be delayed two weeks, so ship time would be late March. Offered CB Alta instead. I agreed because even then I was hearing things. Fortunately the Alta has been money for me.

My G410 LST 3 wood face cracked. I had planned to get the MAX this year. I took the cracked 3 wood to Edwin Watts where I bought it to have it sent in and they (Ping) sent back a G425 LST 3 wood with all the same specs I had previously (-1/2”, EF Black XS) within a week. It looks like I’ll be sticking with the LST. Regardless, another reason why I’m such a Ping homer.

Here is a new data point from Portland, Oregon. Ordered 5/2 from major golf center. I can’t wait to get them.

Curious what everyone thinks. It is my first fitting and real set so any input would be cool! Upgrading from my old Ping i10’s.

ALL LEFT HANDED

Ping G425 4-PW, UW - Project X 6.5x shaft green +2 lie and midsize ping stock grip for all.
G425 Max Driver, 5 wood and SW - Tour 173 75x shaft
G425 Hybrid 4 - Tour 173 85x
Ping Glide 3.0 (54 and 58 degrees) – D6 shaft? I think it is stock.

Quoted 8-12 weeks but it sounded like they are expecting it closer to the 8 weeks.

Tensei orange shafts due in to Ping on the 1st of June is what I have been told by my fitter. I should have my 3W the following week. Fingers crossed 🤞

Haha well that helps explain it! I'm from Chicago so I actually have access to two PGA superstores...although both are about 40 min drive away so I only go there when I have a purchase in mind. Would say they have about 40 G425 drivers sitting out at any given time. Different shaft options but I didn't check to see if they were all there. If there's a shortage on Tensei orange then wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have that one.

 

Love just going there and testing out the different G425 fairway woods and hybrids. Would love to get a 3w or 5w next, but I seem to only be able to hit it off a tee well. Off the deck I'm trash 🤣

I was suppose to get my G425 irons the 26th from Dicks, and was told yesterday that it will now be the 1st of July after I raised hell as to where are they.  What sorry service. I have now asked them to cancel my order.

You're complaining at Dicks, in a thread about Ping back log.....Dicks doesn't have a clue- just what Ping tells them

All due respect, as you are posting in this thread, you must know that things are a mess right now.  What do you really expect Dick’s to know or be doing?  I placed an order for G425 irons with my club pro a week or two ago.  A month or two from now, when I likely still don’t have my irons, it ain’t gonna be my pro’s fault.  I will start losing my patience at some point, but my ire will be directed at Ping if anyone.

 

Ping is the worst of the worst right now with delays.  If I desperately needed my clubs ASAP, I wouldn’t have ordered a custom set from Ping.  But being I play custom graphite, I can’t just buy a set off the shelf with AWT steel shafts.  Just my .02 cents…

I ordered a custom G425 hybrid on 4/15 with an estimated ship date of 5/15. I just got an updated ship date of 7/1.

 

 Here is the message:

 

We are sorry for the delay on your custom clubs. Our system is currently showing an estimated ship date of 07/01/21. There are currently longer than expected lead times for custom orders.

Is there a way to get a detailed g425 delivery date?  I've got a Ping login. In the Q&A section it states they won't break the trust with with their dealers, but they will be happy to contact the dealer on my behalf--will this work?  G425 irons ordered 4/18 Ping standard steel, +1/2", standard grip, white dot. It seems the delays are on none standard grips, shafts and graphite shafts.  I was quoted 6 weeks, but I'm 

becoming concerned about a significant miss.

The reason I am upset is, the week I am suppose to have them, no one contacts me and says, hey we are having problems. Four days after my clubs were suppose to be here I get a delayed order notice after contacting them first. They told me Monday that they were ready to ship. Now it is a July 1st arrival date. I mean when you think you are going to break your new irons in over the Memorial weekend, and nothing.

It's worth getting the PING 7 digit order number from your retailer and call PING yourself at the customer service number on their website. They'll give you an estimated date (that could/will change) and whether any item on your order (e.g., non-standard grip) is holding up shipment. If you do want to change or cancel your order, you'll need to do that with the retailer.
