Having a small golf business, i have tried almost all the putter shafts. But today was the first time i tried the X-Firm and man is that thing stiff. Its like putting with rebar lol.

Glad I went with just the stiff.

With out giving away trade secrets can you go into the challenges of making an over hosel shaft?

Because of this thread I ordered a MC Firm shaft.  Should get it on Wednesday and will promptly pull another shaft from a putter and get it installed.  Looking forward to seeing how it feels!  This will make the 6th different aftermarket putter shaft I'll have installed in my various putters.  Each of the others have their pros and cons and therefore I'm still searching for that "perfect" shaft.  Fingers crossed this will be the one!

Thanks.  If I don't like it then it's your fault because it's mainly your posts that instigated the purchase!   😂

Now that I think about it, it's probably more than 6 other shafts...how quickly I've forgotten some of them.

Been using mine now for 3 weeks putting indoors (approx 300 putts per night). I have two Wellputt mats that I move all over my basement for different breaks. I've also been messing around with several different weights in the head to dial in the best feel and swing weight for me.
No matter which weight I put into my Piretti Potenza 2 Elite the putter feels great and the response and feel from the Fuji MC Firm is awesome! I really like this shaft. And Ive tested all putter shafts. The only ones I haven't tested yet are the Bryson LAGolf shafts.

Now everyone needs to understand that putting & putter feel is VERY personal.

Quite frankly I'm set on the Fuji MC Firm!

Note on the pic: I've changed my grip to the Ping Standard blacked out. I get better feel from that grip vs the Lamkin deep etch.

Same question as other about the over the hosel update.  When will it be available? I have a flow neck putter and interested in installing a MC Putter shaft. Thank you.

Installed an xfirm in a ss square back2 with a lamkin rubber pistol grip.

been rolling putts in my living room and this thing is solid!  This setup gives the perception of being connected to the club head compared to the stock Scotty shaft and super stroked slim 3.0, which feels light and floaty in comparison.

will get in a round this afternoon and report back on course results.

Connected. Describes the x-firm very well. I would not describe it as really stiff. It’s solid but pleasing.

Any new updates from those playing the MC putter shaft? I think I have finally found a putter I like that can take this shaft. Had the X firm previously so am mulling Firm vs X Firm the second time around. No option to demo the Firm near me. I may very well go X Firm again but it would be nice to compare the two.

I mean curious as well.  Playing an x-firm in a squareback now, would love to try a firm.

I’d roll all 3 if I could. I may take a shot with the firm. Seems like there is no way I’ll hate it if I liked the x firm.

I have the firm in my Piretti (see pics in this thread) it's already on the heavier side of putter heads and I've been experimenting with several different weights in the head. The firm shaft doesn't lose any stiffness or feel. It stays smooth regardless of my weight changes between 4 to 25 grams. I believe you should see similar results with the SC Squareback.

Hi guys - who is using arm lock style putters these days? any demand for those?

Over the last two years I've seen approximately 8 players including myself who have experimented with Armlock or kept using Armlock out of 200-300 players at two clubs. I'd say that's a small amount of Armlock players. And 2 players using broomstick method like A.Scott.

I have a Odyssey stroke lab double wide that I used last year. I think it would be a perfect putter for the Fuji X-Firm shaft! I noticed on long putts that the stroke lab shaft had too much lag just before impact.

If I was a Fuji rep I'd certainly give that a try and promote the results!

Snagged a firm off the classifieds here and got it glued up in my Scotty studio stainless (gss insert). I was planning on using it as my “spring” putter here in Minnesota as I don’t want to scuff up the new refinish on my Terillium gamer. 3 putts in the matt this AM, I’m sold.  I always felt my studio was to clicky compared to the Tel3, but now I think feel is so similar that the Tel3 may be my office putter.  I am amazed at how this shaft can be soft but lively while being as stable as it is. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me but I’ll take it. Thanks Fuji for another great product!  New where are those Ventus Black 12x iron shafts?

Would love to get more feedback on people’s experiences with these. I’ve been gaming a BGT Stability Tour for the past couple years, and I’m strongly considering going a different direction with the next putter (plumber’s neck) I’m being fit for. Strongly considering one of these MC putter shafts or one of the LAGP shafts instead of the stability.

Well, up here in Michigan we've only had 3-4 days of good golf weather and most courses are just opening. I got a chance to putt yesterday for a few hours for the first time this year coming off arm surgery. I've been putting the last few weeks indoors.
feel, response and speed control were great "indoors". Yesterday being my 1st day outside I'm very please with the feel, response and speed control on a real green. I'm really liking the Fuji Firm putter shaft in my Piretti Potenza 2 Elite.

I'll also add that I had been experimenting with several different weight combinations and the Fuji Firm putter shaft performed great no matter the weight change. I would suggest that a putter over 375g you consider the X-Firm shaft.

Hope this helps ya!

I was told probably never. Bit strange since there is a over hosel version or some sort of adaptor available in Japan. They even had it for the previous iteration of the fuji putter shaft, you can see them if you search ebay for Mizuno tour magic putters, although maybe it's the putter hosels that are special and not the shafts.

I am really liking the results on the course with the Firm.  Proximity to the hole as been better for me so far.  I have a stable of putters at home, and the putter with the Fuji Firm is the only one that I have been taking to the course this year.

Hey All. Looking to see some longer term reviews of this shaft, any gripes?

I have the CT single bend in my SS3, have it all weighted out how I like it, distance control was really good almost immediately first time gaming it. I now have another project, slant neck SS7, that is also mocked up as the same swingweight, slightly heavier head but with the stock betti shaft. I can feel the difference in shaft weight, assuming the betti shaft is 130gm +

Im looking to either put the stability or this Fuji shaft on it since I feel the lighter stiffer putter shaft has its benifits for my stroke.

Anymore comparison between the two?

@QuigleyDU, still gaming yours?
