Less adjustability and a smaller wave track?  Interesting.

Less adjustable? I dont think so. Look at the back. there is another track there. The OG GT only had two tracks. This is pretty cool I think..

I'm not a fan of these phased driver releases. What if someone's just bought one of the other recently released ST models, only to later find this fits them better? Just release the entire line up at once and let consumers decide with all the options (info) available to them.

I agree.... I dont even know what model Titleist is on anymore

I will say it again. Nobody cares and nobody will buy it. They need to get ahead of Ping, Callaway, Tmade and Cobra if they want people to buy them. Release them in November and they might get in peoples bags. No doubt their are great I have the ST180 and it’s just as long and more accurate than anything I’ve tried. Everyone buys the big 4 drivers by the time Mizuno gets around to releasing their drivers.

@VCGolfer79-from inside, can let you know that Mizuno have had a surge in metalwood sales over the last couple of years.  There's not always a perfect time to launch a product.  When its ready its ready.  Might not be the way to get to #1 market share - but that's not the goal.  Mizuno wanted to fast forward the R&D cycle, get the tour staff back on board and see where the product ended up.  So far so good - ST-Z and ST-X are miles ahead of where ST180 was just a few years back.

That’s some great info. I love Mizuno clubs and recommend them to anyone who will listen. I haven’t hit anything that comes close to the 180 for me at least. It’s loud but I’m used to it by now. I was interested in upgrading to the ST Z but the ship sailed on that idea when they took too long to launch it. It’s easier to convince the wife you “need” and new driver in December than in March hahaha

To be fair just about everyone has seen  a surge in sales. Did they see a surge in market share? That would tell us more.

My next addition...

Have a mizzy CLK 4 hybrid and it feels solid. I hope that feel continues throughout the metal woods.

Anyone know when more info will come out on it?

That definitely seems to be the idea here. I predicted a couple releases ago that the heel/toe tracks would eventually extend all the way back and merge in the center, and I was almost right! 😅

Mizuno is making killer drivers. The ST190 was a game changer for them and IMO all they need is either some higher profile free agent attention or for one of their staffers to go on a hot streak.

I think the equipment market, especially drivers is super interesting... I think mizuno has to be making money on this stuff, but maybe not? I wonder how much of the R&D bleeds over across the various clubs...

i really liked the 190... was looking to pick one up cheap last year but the market went insane... maybe this one will be my used purchase in a few years.

Follow up video to the one earlier in the thread. Kid gets fitted for an ST G 220 as well as an ST Z. He says in the video that the ST Z had better feel than the ST G 220...

It's only one person so not set in stone. I wonder if the additional tracks take away from some of the "feel".
