I think it must be your cable provider and not TGC or the feed. I'm watching on the Golf Channel and have had no static issues at all. 

 

[PS. You could actually get Peacock if you used a VPN - I don't think it is your government is restricting you, it is more likely to be geo-restrictions Peacock puts on its broadcasts. Lots of those services do it ... e.g., there are some Netflix programs available to subscribers in the US, but not the UK, and vice versa. But there are ways you can make it appear as though your computer is in the US. Just sayin' ... ;)]

If Louis and Spieth can survive the next 3-4 holes one or both should finish at -9 or better you'd think.  I could still see as low as -11 or -12, especially from Louis.  Spieth does not seem nearly as sharp today so far as he did yesterday.

Agreed, and the way that PXG marketing team have cemented their product as sexy and using gravely/fast voice-over in commercials are always quite cringe worthy to me. I love the game of golf and equipment but don't consider anything about it sexy.

Haven't been able to watch any yet, aside from some highlights.  Course looks pretty soft.  Lots of low scores out there.  Any speculation that the course is supposed to dry out/firm up over the next couple days?  Looking forward to watching over the weekend either way.

Yes, it's already drying out and the forecast for the weekend is dry, so expect to see it a little more fiery for the next few rounds.

It's on course microphone transmission. Some have a weak physical connection somewhere along the chain.

Still, my first point to him is correct. I've been watching on the GC since 4AM EST. No problems with sound at all. I have Optimum on the east coast as my cable provider.

I'm saying that not all golfers perform on every course or having a playing style that suits every course. So though we think hit it far should work, it might not for Bryson. It's like the opposite of Kevin Na, who says he can only win on certain course. I think its also a Tiger hangover that we expect guys to be hot every week. Think about your own games, some weeks its easy, other weeks you can't find the clubface. 

 

But a player of his length SHOULD be able manage is length ; realizing the penalty for inaccurate tee shots......so while you lose the advantage of length,  you don't shoot yourself out of the event......whether it's Augusta,  The Open , The U.S.OPEN or The Players......course and self management is prevalent to win these events......not expecting Tiger like consistency but like Tiger at hoylake in 06 , take advantage of your strengths......BD is really long with his irons..... but control of irons is much easier from the fairway than the deep stuff.....

Can't be on-course microphone transmission, nor the GC (since I've having no problems). Has to be a "last mile" issue - your cable or internet provider.

PXG commercials are extremely cringe no doubt. Love how they mention "the haters" in one of their ads. The spot where the voice over guy (which I heard is the owner himself) squeals like a pig is just embarrassing.

It's on course microphone transmission since no booth issues at The Open, nor in NBC studios. Source, I know microphones.

Because you're either lying, or not paying attention. It's not constant. It with certain on course commentators, sometimes. Same was happening yesterday. Wind can also play a factor with the physical connections. Static in audio specific people/locations people can only be caused by one thing, the transmission of the audio at the source either because of a physical connection, or a transmission issue to the processor. It can't be "internet" or "cable." If it was, it would be all audio that has static, not certain people/locations.
