I've found a gold mine for you here:

https://stats.lpga.com/login

You just need to register and log in, it's tremendous information on scrambling and other items.

I requested access. Now let's see if they grant it.

The field could be worse, that's for sure.  For my pick this week I'm going off the beaten path and predicting that Wichanee Meechai breaks through and picks up an unexpected win.  Backup is a strong performance from the ever-reliable Hyo Joo Kim.  And if you want a real wildcard Sarah Burnham has been playing pretty well lately.

With no So Yeon this week I say go In Gee, Sei Young, Albane and Lauren Kim!  Would also be a great story if Gerina put a stamp on her comeback and made her case for the Solhiem Cup with a win.

So far....IMO...there exists some boring personalities that will likely be on the US Solheim team

Pat needs some good picks to amp up the DRAMA.

IMO....Pat should pick Stacy, Kerr, Creamer and Christina for the obnoxious factor to make the Cup more interesting.🤣

I hope Angel Yin and Ryann O'Toole make the team....they are good for SMACK talking....I saw it 1st hand with Ryann at a Cdn tour event here in 2011 in Squamish, BC.

I LUV'D the Big Break....Angel would have made a great BB participant.

Lots of BB gals would play the CN Cdn tour events here.

They said the cameras were rolling nearly 16 hrs a day and they had lots of booze available after the main shooting....it was so readily available to get the gals a bit "looser/loose lipped" just before they headed into the daily confessionals...DRAMA....Cat Fight!

I'm willing to cut this tournament some slack.  It's the week following a major where all of your top players put in work.  You can't have A+ fields every week.  It would be a good week for a journey(woman) to get her first win or re-kick start a career.

The field didn't get filled is the point.  I find it hard to believe they couldn't find some players who've had limited playing opportunities to show up. Those players haven't been playing 5+ weeks in a row.

Weather has often been an issue here. They're coming off six straight weeks of tournaments that included two majors. They have six more events in seven weeks after this one, which includes four straight in Europe with the Evian and Women's Open.

I can see why many are taking the week off.

This tournament has been played in October, December, May, and now July. Hard to believe they weren't going to run into heat or cold somewhere. They were lucky the didn't run into frost in December.

Current field of 138 players and still showing 6 open slots. Are they just not going to fill those slots? Heck, if nothing else give them to the girls who played in the Monday qualifier.

IMO...this is why the LPGA has too many tournaments.....some will have weak fields.

Similar and worse on the PGA tour....I know some of you are like me and won't watch some PGA events because the fields are so weak and filled with a bunch of "who is he?".

Time for the NFL season to start.

Too many tournaments?  These are playing opportunities.  No need to watch every one, but a number of the "stars" earned some real good traction towards their status in events such as these.

Agreed.  "Big name" players had to begin somewhere.  I look none other than Sophia Popov who was toiling away on the Symetra only to win a major, and now she's a fixture in larger tournaments.  And now she's an Olympian.  That's a success story right there.

Great chance for that first time winner as some of you have mentioned. I think JYK is gonna get it in gear this week after the last two not so great weeks.
I'll take Celine B, as a not so dark dark horse.
I'll be scanning the board to see how the former Texas Longhorn and Monday qualifier Greta Voelker does.

Haven't seen any odds on this tournament here? HELP! I have a galfriend in Vegas right now begging for an LPGA player to bet on. I'm ready to tell her any Texan will do!  🤠

Supposedly the only way to make money is to bet on head to head match ups.

Find a match where someone is overvalued.....supposedly 'current form' is over rated.

Sophia has been a great story to be honest, she may not be taking the LPGA by storm, but she's hanging in there pretty good so far. At least she didn't pull a Pernilla. 😉

Got to know Greta Voelker a little bit when she played in the WAPT tournament at our course. Always pulling for any Longhorn to do well. She birdied the final hole in the Monday qualifier to avoid a play-off for the 2nd spot.

I was looking at the player/loop PDF.....I knew this is a weak field and saw Meredith Duncan...I bet few on this site know who she is w/o a Google.

A past LSU player and US Women's Am winner and friend of Bam Bam.

I then looked at the US Women's Am Wiki....in the past 2 decades only 3 LPGA winners....Pressel, Kang and Lydia.

Doing well at the Am level in sports doesn't always translate to success in  the BIG SHOW.

I just really hate the "too many tournaments" idea.  Who cares if there is a market for it?  It would be like saying there are too many posts on here, so some should banned, just to get numbers down.

Too many people think about it in terms of whether they are entertained, rather than the fact this is someone's livelihood.  If no one is watching, and no one is willing to sponsor, fine, but if there is someone, why take it away?
