Putting with the stick in should only be done by poor putters or when you can't control speed well on a certain putt.  Any other time it either doesn't help or hurts.  It says alot about a pro's putting confidence when they are routinely leaving the stick in.

Okay, I live about an hour NE of where they are playing. Just stepped outside and I swear I could hit a driver and follow the ball all the way.

The bare spots are due to the winter damage of the bermuda grass. Winter kill. It never happens here, but did this year. Several very high end courses around town that have bermuda fairways and greens look the same or worse. I am surprised that the LPGA tour didn't fund or bring in a contractor to help address the turf coverage issues, especially on the greens. I'm assuming it's a financial issue.

Well folks looks like we have a pretty good battle for tomorrow, assuming Esther and Matilda can keep their heads on straight. I feel Matilda will be fine, but Esther might feel the pressure a bit. 

 

Back in January of 2020, @AWinfortheAges put together a fun little predictions thing for 2020. One of the questions was Which 3 players are you rooting for to get their first LPGA victory. One of my picks was Esther Henseleit, a year and a half later she has her chance. Go Esther!! I likely just jinxed her 😂

I always chuckle when I'm watching an LPGA/LET tourny and Carlotta Ciganda pops up, her name reminds me of one of the Austin Power movies femme fatale characters named Alotta Fagina.

 

I wonder if Mike Myers watches women's golf? 

 

Or Carlotta watches Austin Powers or James Bond (think p***y Galore) movies?

JYK might like the pin in to really focus on the center of the hole.

We have played pin in since 2019.

 

If I miss a putt...it's because of a sh*t stroke and not the pin.

Unfortunately for me...the sh*t stroke shows up too often.

I'm a mental midget on 4-8 ft birdie conversions....it's too frustrating.

Exactly. Texas def has lower taxes and lower cost of living. Better weather (which is what we were talking about)…  Not by a long shot! Haha. To each his own 😊

I had heard of Lee6's efforts to improve her English (from a previous LPGA write-up, circa 2020),
but hadn't heard she was already doing interviews in English
(it helps to have an experienced/empathetic interviewer, such as Jerry Foltz, to guide Lee6 through the Thursday post-R1 interview with confidence!).

Has anybody else noticed that Lee6 has a Kevin Na-style walk-in, on her short putts? (i only noticed this today, per the R3 highlights)
