I know I am in the minority but I am kind of hoping for a ZXU MKII that goes all the way to 30* again like it did in the U85.  From a functional standpoint, effectively the ZX4 did this with a 28.5/29* 7i.  However, from a practical and resale standpoint, it made little sense as it forced a player to carry two 7 irons and limited the resale value down unless someone was smart enough to know what was going on, and frankly, most probably aren't.  I just really don't like the loft crunch Srixon does on their long clubs, with only 2* between the 4/5 and then 3* all the way down to the 7i basically.  The U-irons came in nicely there as they have 3* separation between them for the most part.

 

Ideal combo for me would be UX in 26* and 29* (5 + 6i), 5-series in 7-8 (32* and 36*), 7-series in 9-PW (40* and 45*).  If they made this, I would happily hand over my money.  The 85 series you could have done this easily, I was just happy with what I had back then and wasn't looking to switch.

I’m kind of glad to hear they have glued hosel again, none of my fairways are adjustable. It’s so much cleaner to look at…aside from an easy shaft change I’m not even sure I believe it does much anymore. Years of tweaking drivers whichever way I’ve always landed back on neutral. I feel like whatever head adjustment you make you subconsciously sole the club at address to make it suit your eye and negate whatever setting you’ve got. Much like all other golf and equipment things it’s probably in my head but glued feels like a better connection to the club than screwed together. How gross is a fitting iron to look at? Same thing for me

I think the flat or upright setting helps a decent amount of people, but my favorite part is getting the head to sit square or slightly open, I can't stand a club that looks shut.

 

If they were bonded its either how I like it or not, where now, most woods I can set it up to look how I want at address, and see if the club is for me. People could also be the opposite  of me as well. so now two people who like two different things, can play the same wood.

I agree....  That's why I stopped playing Mizuno .... The JPX line with the glued on badging is no Bueno .

Could be looking at 2 wins today with the MKII this weekend if Straka pulls it out. I’ve got to assume Srixon takes advantage of that via marketing.

The current zipcores are amazing. I’ve worn through 2 sets of them. But these new ones make me slightly ill 🤒 on to vokeys, perhaps
