Anything new with Srixon 2022

Adjustable fairway wood looks great!  I’ve liked the feel of previous versions but they always set up closed for me.

Same here.  Love the look of the ZX fairway woods but they sit closed and it just implants a thought every time that I'm going to hook it (and, of course, I mostly did).  I've always thought that Srixon had one of the better adjustable hosel set ups on the market so I'm glad to see this new range will include that in the fairway woods too.  I'm all in on the Driver and FW as soon as they are released.

wow I hope that adjustable one is not tour only.  I was told the fairways and hybrids would be bonded.

The fairways and hybrids are glued. This is tour only.

So let´s recap: Tour players who get clubs fitted to their exact specs and have the resources to alter them on the spot get adjustable hosels.

The buying public who don´t get to modify their clubs remotely as easily get glued clubs which offer no adjustability whatsoever.

This might be the dumbest decission in a while.

Damnit.  Very disappointing that they aren't offering the adjustability in the fairway woods for the masses.  That's a big miss IMO.

Just curious. Did you ever try the OG ZX5 to blend with your ZX7’s?  Contemplating adding a 5 and 6 ZX5 OG to replace my ZX7’s in those spaces. So easy to hit.

I have a ZX5 in the 4i. It is so easy to hit. It’s a point and shoot. I don’t know if it’s the wider sole, extra tech or a combo, but I can launch and hit my ZX5 4i light years easier to compared to my ZX7 5/6i.

I play the 4-6 ZX5 and 7-pw ZX7 with LA golf 105g shafts. ZX5 more forgiving in long irons and height was slightly better

 Think I’m going to go 4-pw zx7

my current set is 6-pw zx7, zx5 5 iron, utility 3 iron

you guys have any advice on this? I think what I have works well because the zx5 goes far enough to be a 4 ish iron. So maybe I should go zx7 5-pw and zx5 4 iron. I kind of like the versatility of my current setup because I can carry 2 fairway woods a driving iron and the gapping is good. I also don’t spin the ball a ton so the 5 iron as a defecto 4 and 5 iron works.

I wish there was an easy answer for this. I have narrowed down my new irons for 2023 between srixon, taylormade, and callaway all are launching new additions early next year.

It could be best to wait until they come out to test because even though your current gamers are close to want you want, there could be some variances with the new models such as spin/launch therefore you maybe even fit for different shafts/swing weight etc.

If you feel like you must get your order in i would go with a full set of ZX7 or full set ZX5 irons for yardage gaping and re sale just incase you dont like.  Also Srixon tend to have lighter heads compared with other manufacturers so air on the side of caution when choosing lighter shafts or higher balance point shafts. A really good starting point shaft to achieve stated swing weight would be there standard offering or i have had good outcomes when installing KBS Tour 125g Stiff plus into srixon heads.  All this depends what the golfer is looking for and, wants.

Love me some Srixon, but this is why Titleist woods are the best. The adjustability of the new TSR is fantastic.

Yeah if this ends up being the case I think that is a big fail on Srixon’s part. The tech is obviously there to have it be adjustable so it doesn’t make sense to me not to. With bag changes and course fits I can’t imagine gaming a non adjustable fairway anymore. I can’t just ask them to build me 10 different variations that I may or may not use like the tour guys do.

Wonder if it's a JDM spec fairway since we are only getting the bonded version in the US.

So will the original Zx5 irons go on sale when MKii released? What kind of sales does Srixon usually do?
Thanks!

You could fit at least 7 shafts in that massive shaft hole.

Probably removing extra weight that the adjustable hosel takes up over a glued one.  Or it could be anything.

I refuse to play a fairway or hybrid without adjustable hosels.  I do have a UW that is NOT adjustable doing some testing, but there is a very good chance the shaft ends up in an all-fit adapter and I trial 5 woods.
