Good thing thats not a Stealth. All the TM haters would come out of the woodworks.

Not sure really… it could have been there for a while from the looks of it.

It was an issue with the G400 series drivers. I had two G400 Max drivers do that. Ping replaced them, but eventually, they ran out of Max driver heads.

Same here ... the did offer me the 410 at a decent discount ... very refreshing that they would do that

Sadly they offered me zilch… said there was nothing they could do cuz it was over three years old

I thought I was totally done with drivers for a while, then I got a deal this weekend, so maybe not? I still have my Smoke Black RDX with TaylorMade adapter left over from my M6 testing and stumbled onto a nice price Sim 2 Max D. I am excited to try it, I haven't tried a new driver in months. 🤣

I'm done chasing distance. I'm done chasing accuracy. I can hit a fairway with almost anything on the shelf. Optimal performance? Different story but anything from 2018+ can be dialed in to my #'s fairly easily.

....but am I done chasing great deals? NOPE. If newer stuff falls into my lap for a song you bet I'm gonna try it out.

My philosophy is to take the time I really like, then play it until it's done. If I'm always looking for a new one then I can't enjoy the one I actually have. And if I'm always trying to fix my game via clubs it takes away the process of trying to work on my game. But this is Golf WRX so I'm sure many people aren't going to share this take.  😂

You can always chase after shafts...

I'm still using a Mitsubishi blueboard or some close derivative...

Just back from a trip to the States and had my trusty Adams 9015D made up to a new Kai'Li 60 TX (would have preferred less than TX really.. but that's all there is at Club Champion, and I trust the diamana blue (under whatever name) to feel ok even still)

My previous Diamana ZF 70S is now pulled and waiting - if the Kai'Li is good, then the ZF goes in my Mizuno MP-650 3 wood to replace a 'it works, but it feels not so nice' Diamana thump shaft.

More odd, just went to dig the ZF out for a photo shoot... and first shaft out of an old umbrella stand where some oldish bit maybe to be resurrected gear lives... and it was the orginal driver shaft bought from Sellinger's with the 9015D - a Diamana Blue (obviously) x83x5ct S...

Hmm I must have the worst if luck  after reading so much about this driver I got one too and like you I was content enough with far older setup up  got the g400 and it's about 25 yrds less than the old g15  altho  shaft..

I did just that this week...

I'd picked up a SpeedZone at some point.  Have tried it with several shafts, various weights, various lengths, it never really clicked with me.

As I was building other clubs a couple days ago, looked over at the Phenom NL I had leaning against the wall.  It's a 60 (67g), which is a weight class that hasn't worked for me, generally.  cut it to 44.5", a length I haven't played in a few years.

Hit it really well today, shockingly well.  One of my golf buds is a 29 year old with pretty healthy swingspeed, by the end of the round, I was keeping up with him.  For a 59 yr old with a sketchy back...  yeah, I'm in.

Didn't see that coming  <shrug>

I wish I could jump in and say I’m done chasing… but I just haven’t gotten there yet. Closest I’ve come recently was tsi3 and yet I still tried Cally offerings this year. Back in tsi3 now… until TSr 3 is ready to roll, I’m sure.

And TSr3 is better even than I thought it would be. Am I off the driver market for a while… yes!

Been fitting clubs for years, and w/the constant emphasis on lower spin models year after year, basically the norm from every OEM, the mid to slower swing player is getting phased out of most new options, not to mention most senior golfers. It gets harder to fit this level of player w/new gear that they can see significant improvement with. Most can't swing fast enough to even create modest spin w/ new drivers or the newer low spin, high launch shafts. These create too many challenges elevating the ball to benefit this level of player. Most will never achieve the swing needed to get any benefit from the new heads or shafts. I have had more success having these players search out older models, that created more spin, height, and needed accuracy, at a significantly lower price point. Found the same problems exist w/the modern 3 wood, which many of these golfers previously liked to use as a tee option. Ultra low spin is great for many players out there, but can be more of a problem for these types of golfers.

I've always struggled with finding a driver that checked all the boxes for me. I believe I've found it with the TSR3 w/Tensei 1K. I think I'm done. I'll check the market again in about 3-4 years.

I'm officially done as I may have to wait till next year to get the benefits of my new TaylorMade Stealth Plus Blacked out edition because of the weather now turning very cold as I tried almost everything that came out in 2022 and TaylorMade comes out the winner. I just don't understand why but PING and TaylorMade always seem to find it's way back into my bag. PING for irons mostly and TM for Drivers.

The shaft options are the same for any club.  You just have to have the right adaptor to fit in the head.

The performance differences have been pretty negligible, so until I find something that fits my eye better than my M6, the M6 will be in the bag.
