One of the straightest and longest combos ever for me. Blend of speed and forgiveness was unrivaled back then.

I said Sim2 Max earlier in this thread but just bought a Stealth Plus so I am hoping that the Stealth Plus will be better.

That's a tough one.  Favorite for me was the R11 dot which was tour issue with the 440cc head.  Ended up cracking the face which broke my heart.  Best TM driver is either the OG SIM or the Stealth.  Both anti-left and forgiving with high ball speeds for me.

This design, the tour issued long hosel model. Absolute ball speed monster still put up big numbers with these heads. Tour guys used them 3-4 years after the release.

Longest drive I ever hit was the Burner 9.5 with stiff steel shaft in the mid 90s 348 yards. Same type that Duval used to shoot a 59 @ the bob hope.

Recently started playing again. Totally diff swing from the mid 90s.

In succession. SLDR stiff Fujikura Speeder 65 shaft neutral weight down to 9.5 from 10.5 avg about 270. Sim Max same shaft 9.5 from 10.5 avg 280. Stealth same shaft 10.0 from 9.0 avg 285-295.

Don't think another stick will make up much difference. All golf testers & analysts say the tsi3 or triple threat are only 5 yards longer...

For me and my tendencies, the Sim OG was perfect. Wasn't very forgiving, but for someone who needed low spin and was fighting a hook at the time, that drive arrived when I needed it most. Also, hit some of my longest drives ever with it, until it cracked

I don’t know why but TM drivers seem to crack way more often than others. Here is my buddy’s Stealth +. He’s a mini tour guy that swings it in the high teens to low 20s. He doesn’t abuse his stuff and middles it constantly. He’s cracked so many TM heads. He’s having a really rough time getting a replacement too.

Picked up an og sim max d and I’m really liking it so far. I liked the sim but my miss is to the right so it didn’t work out the best for me being fade biased. I also didn't like the shallow face. The sim max d fixed both of those problems. Love the deep face and it just wants to go straight. Put my tour ad iz 6x in it and I’m a couple rounds in and my confidence with it is growing and growing.

R9 superTri!

16 M2

This is the correct answer. Pretty much every other TM driver mentioned on this thread is readily available.

The R9 SuperTri and 16 M2 were Holy Grails that are rare.

I would have no problem pulling those two out of my basement and playing in a tournament confidently.

I am sure it has something to do with them pushing the materials to the limit in order to make ball speed claims each year. The same tech that makes their drivers good also seems to be the areas where their drivers tend to fail. ( thin faces, carbon faces, moveable sole weights). I still like their stuff though

2007 burner TP gets my vote. Was a fantastic shape. And the first real selection of aftermarket shafts in a fitting. Well in Scotland haha

But fragile. I cracked 3 of them, 2 were warrantied.

I really find it interesting that the new line of Titleist TSr drivers recently release, all the soles are now very clean, without all the cutttings, grooves, lines and clutter - all, per Titleist, for the sake of aerodynamic efficiency... well, well, well...just like the SFTP clean sole 😁

Best TM driver - SFTP followed closely by the OG SIM Max (best sound of all TM drivers and silly, silly, long).
