That was my first bet. CPM aside, they tend to 'feel' as stiff as anything out there.

he is still using X7 but with a C-Taper wrap.

Similar to what the top tiers players do to driver shafts - or used to.

Ex. Rory w. Diamana S+

I'm sure the driver is as good as anything else but it sure is hideous from all angles.

Would love to see Jason return to form, dude was a world beater for a couple year stretch. 
 

are those KuroKage Dual Core XT fairway shafts? Interesting he’s got X flex when I know they come in a TX option. Might just have them tipped considerably?

It’s the old XT proto before dual core that Rory use to play forever and that fleetwood still uses in his driver.

It's a pride thing now with Ping and the ole Turbs. Ping could easily just state" we've found a way to make the crown and club more aerodynamic and move away from the Turbulators . I like Ping gear a lot but I just can't stand the look of the Drivers .

Yeah it's what became the retail XT. The "XTS" protos were all equivalent to the XT in TX flex which we've seen both Fleetwood and Sergio switch between, with Fleetwood still using the proto as mentioned.

I appreciate the "consistency" of Ping in their models year to year over other OEMs. TM SIM has a weight track, SIM2 doesn't, Stealth + has it back... then they have to explain the "tech" of having it, then not having it. 

 

The turbulators are polarizing, but for anyone who cares more about performance, it's a non issue after a short period of time.

When all the things are about the same performance wise I see no reason to go with the flashy designs on clubs . That’s just me a lot of people like bright colors and visible  tech . I love Pings performance I play the i210 irons and have a glide wedge in the bag . I gamed the G425 max and LST drivers in 2022 the look and sound just turned me off after a while .  Ping and mizuno should do a joint project irons and drivers . Boooom !!

The sound is an easy fix, a bit of hotmelt and it's gone.
