Worst swing on Tour

Winner. Looks like a mid handicapper, I'm always amazed. Harold varner is another one that looks like he'd be a good club player but that's it.

Varner's a great call.

Nice solid, economical swing. Not a lot can go wrong with it. But if you saw him hitting balls from 200 yards away you'd swear he was a 3-handicapper with a reasonable shot at the Club Championship, not a tour pro.

Scheffler's footwork is all a bit Bambi on ice, but his fundamentals are pretty sound, and he delivers the club consistently, as borne out by his stats. I agree with you though, that it's not nice to watch from an aesthetic point of view.

Then again, I always loved watching Mark Calcavecchia back in the day, and his swing's not dissimilar. A violent, bludgeoning slog at the ball, with a similarly eccentric bit of footwork. There's no accounting for taste I suppose.

Looks like an all arms 10 handicap. Forgot about Webb good call!

Not a huge fan of Speith's action not so much the look but the inconsistency. I feel like he's going to snap hook a tee shot at any moment.

He's always had issues with driver.  Seems like he always hits at least one or two quackers every round that could derail his round.  His short is so good that it almost makes up for it.

Currently: Nick Watney.

He is dead last in SG: Tee to green on the PGA Tour.

He used to have that nasty hitch in his back swing when he came out on tour that he has toned down over the years.

Not nearly as bad as some others like Kuchar, but worth honorable mention is Gary Woodland. Very narrow stance with square feet, under a bigger upper body. Looks very restricted like he's fighting a slice. Contorted finish with arms separating wide apart.

Seems to mean awful lot of guys on here appreciate aesthetics over results.  Seems illy to me.

We’ve got posts naming Scheffler and Simpson as “worst swings”? 🤣

LOL. Back when Barbie came out this summer, there was a bit of a firestorm on social media related to a bunch of anonymous keyboard trolls calling Margot Robbie "Mid". Your statement is the golf version of that.

Adam Scott's swing should be in the freaking Louvre.

Odds are good some of same IP addresses popping up here lately since a certain announcement was made 😂

Kuchar for me. AINEC.

The Eddie Haskel of the PGAT is just hard to look at period. To be that long and lanky (gangly) and have that little pot belly is just such an odd look to me. Not to mention he’s 45 and looks easily 55.

I'm quite into the aesthetics of a swing and I personally dislike any swing that has a significant head dip/loss of height. Two of the worst being Joaquín Niemann and Sam Bennett. I have to mention Tommy Fleetwood too despite him being one of my favourite players.

Agree with Bennett, previously Willie Z, and anyone else who snaps their back in half chasing power. I heard a guy on the range telling his friend he needed to "fold his back" on the downswing like the pros do if he really wants to make good contact, followed by an exaggerated move any doc specializing in Backiotomies would be licking their chops at.

Honorable mention for me is Fitzpatrick's super upright address followed by trying to murder the ball. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that paired with one of the most aggressive moves through the ball possible is begging for a catastrophic wrist injury? Any PTs or Orthos are free to chime in and tell me that our wrists are made to experience that kind of repetitive force at extreme angles and set me straight, though.

I would honestly say Rahm has one of the uglier swings (I won't call any pro's swing bad).  Wolff of course and Furyk are ugly as well.  They all get the club on the ball beautifully, but some of them are harder to watch than others.

On a somewhat related note, how do people feel about lefty swings? For some reason, every lefty I've seen in real life seems to have a very smooth and pleasant swing to watch, and yet I don't find myself particularly attracted to any professional lefty's swing.  Guys like Axley, Lebioda, Bubba, even Akshay to a certain extent I don't find particularly aesthetic.

I would have to agree that Kutchar is hard to watch… even his putting. Harold Varner’s swing looks like a local hack. Both can play though!!

Yup and maybe why Harlold's swing makes total sense to me lol 😂

Rocco... obviously a great player and seems like a nice guy though...

good call. He and Varner both look like single digit handicaps

i honestly watch Rocco swing and wonder how he won on tour

he looks like he’s swinging 100 mph with the driver, if that. Probably would not work in today’s power game.

but kudos to him
