Older clubs I will never sell - Photos

I am sure some of you have clubs you will never part with.  These are mine.  I don't play these clubs anymore but intend to keep them forever.  Nowadays, I need the forgiveness of modern drivers, hybrids and pocket cavity irons.

I have my original set of Hogan Apex 99 irons (2-PW) that I used during HS/College, they were my first "real" irons that my Dad bought me after I got good enough to swing them. I love them, they still perform and they have a lot of meaning for me and my golf game (especially after my father passed away). I also still have my Titleist 975D driver that I used during that time and will randomly play with my old setup.

Tour issue R11 deep face proto 2 hybrid - Still in the bag and haven't found anything that can beat it even the new offerings.

2014 Newport 2 - Still in the bag as well.  Love the deep milling and heavier head.  I have a Circle T Super Rat in storage that hasn't seen the light of day because the Newport 2 is that good.

Ping Anser circa 1980- The first “real” club I owned. I worked at a driving range, hand picking balls, to afford this thing. 

Scotty Cameron Kombi S-335 grams of goodness on the greens. I’ve made miles of putts with it. Of course, it now sits in the garage. Ha ha. 

Ping i20 hybrid - I don’t know why this is still not in my bag. I can hit  it high, low, left, straight, or right.  The only hybrid I’ve been able to shape. 
Taylor Made  Pittsburgh Persimmon Tour Cleek- I played this thing as a trouble club for years. Aim small, miss small. Ha ha. It’s totally outdated but it makes me nostalgic when I pick it up.

Kasco K2K Super Hyten Hybrids - They are 20 years old and still launch as high and go as far as the new stuff. 

 

Scor 4161 Wedges and Short Irons - Basically feels like an endo forged blade with a v-sole, but more compact than traditional wedges. Mucho perfect!!!

Got a few PowerBilt persimmon woods scattered about the den. They aren't worth much (thanks to metal) but they are solid pieces of wood made by craftsman with beautiful finishes on them. They are replicas of what was in the bag when this golf journey started years ago.
