It was marked and he picked up the mark almost in one motion after adjusting the ball.

Let’s call it being conservatively cautious. I just didn’t see this happening so soon. But I’ll say it now. He’s greater prospect than Champ. Complete package.

That was the most compelling golf this year outside of a major. For a tournament that started slow it had a great final 9.

Anyone who has paid any attention to amateur golf already knew he was a better prospect than Champ. There are probably 15-20 better prospects than Champ that are similarly aged.

Cole Hammer is fifty yards shorter than champ and is probably a better golfer as a true freshman in college.

> How did collin morikawa earn a tour card?

He earned special temporary membership by earning enough non member Fed Ex points. Basically he can play the remaining tournaments on tour this season (with the exception of the Open and WGC that have their own qualifying of course). Doc Redman who finished 2nd last weekend in Detroit did the same thing. As long as they earn more Fed Ex points than the golfer who finished in 125th place in the FedEx standings they will earn PGA membership at the end of the season. Morikawa, however, will not be eligible for this season's playoffs unless he wins a tournament. Obviously Wolff will now be eligible for the FedEx playoffs, Masters, etc with his win.

Wolff jumps to 73rd in FedEx and 80th on money list in just two tournaments, plus the status gained from the win. Instant millionaire. Only has to worry about playing now. What a great career start.

Colin Morikawa currently stands at 334 points. He would be #116 on the FedEX Cup Points List just ahead of Danny Willett. Ryan Blaum is currently at #125 with 284 points. There are only four weeks left, so he may be just on the right side, He might want to pick up a few more just to be sure.

The # 200 to get into the Korn Ferry Playoffs is now held by Sang Moon Bae with 71 points.

Viktor Hovalnd now has 121 points and is assured of having a chance of playing on the PGA Tour next year through the Korn Ferry Playoffs.

The other big nonmember mover this week is Charlie Danielson. He now has 53 points.

The JDC needs to give Wolff's sponsor's invite to Charlie. If nothing else to make "Illini Day" on Friday a little easier on Scott Langley.

I missed the tournament but happy to see that Wolff won. Thought I would try to find some highlights online, and all you can find is broken links of PUTTS on pgatour.com. Firstly, I hate watching putts on "highlights" (and almost as much in regular coverage), unless they are super long or super meaningful, and secondly, why can't the tour put together a tidy set of shots like the European Tour is capable of doing for many players on a weekly basis?

That was a fun finish for a tournament I did not believe would conjure up any excitement. Was happy to see the kid win with that interesting swing.
