Brad Faxon is getting more money to do fewer events with Fox. He's not leaving. John Daly is not the type of person you want to listen to week in and week out. Rocco would be better. They should never have let Feherty go.

Kostis podcast was great and it's very obvious that the TOur is milking networks dry to the point where we don't have as many camera's or tech on course because of the cost. Tour is playing with fire as golf is already shrinking.

You know what another great Dave ( chapelle ) said about confusing uniforms?! Right ? Yoga pants and the like can be very confusing uniforms. As in don’t advertise things that aren’t to be mentioned. Less confusion equals a more desirable reaction id suspect.

They want a guy who won't ruffle anyone's feathers and will always cheerlead for the PGA Tour. Kostis was reprimanded for his post-round interview when he asked the winner how he felt about getting two more years of status and going to Augusta. The Tour got mad that Kostis didn't mention he won 500 FedEx Cup points too.

Don't forget that a few years ago, Tiger would not allow himself to be interviewed by Kostis because he didn't like some of the things PK said about his swing changes at the time. I suspect he wasn't wrong in his analysis but CBS had to bow down to Tiger yet again.

Anything that breaks up the perception that it's all 70 year old men chatting about golf is appreciated. No wonder golf has an image problem.

If they're really good maybe keep them but Kostis is 73. Gary McCord is 71. You have to move on at some stage, in most jobs you would be long retired. Amanda is good at her job and just happens to be attractive as well. I would like to see more women on broadcast and younger on it. It's just their idea of young and hip is 55-year-old dry Davis Love III.

The irony of that is that a 73 year old PK is still driving the conversation, and currently is driving the tour into a “ everybody cheats” ditch. When one finger wags. Eventually others will wag in other directions. This is simply sour grapes , and getting even with the tour. None of this helps golf.

Why does it matter how old Kostis is? He’s not saying everyone cheats, only Reed when asked about him. He said cheating on Tour is not prevalent. He also hasn’t given many interviews either.

Just listened to the podcast. As usual, greed and money are the root of all evil. The fact the Tour wants to dictate how announcers who are not employees of the Tour are doing their jobs seems especially crappy. I'm sure in all pro sports the sporting associations have some influence but to have essentially a direct involvement in the "firing" of gm and pk is not good.

Agreed. Feherty is McCord 2.0And his schtick is just as tired if not more. He is a guy whose lines used to be funny and witty because they were (or at least, seemed to be) off-the-cuff. Now everything sounds like it is coming from the pages of stuff turned out by a staff of writers. His GC show seems to be mostly an advertisement for his personal appearances.

I gained a lot of respect for Kostis after listening to the podcast. He admitted to the things we all know to be true that the tour and the networks will never admit to. If we want to see network broadcasts get better, we have to stop watching so the tour, the networks and the sponsors learn that without viewers, there is no tour. Once Tiger is really done, things might change.

Feherty is a hell of a on course announcer in my opinion. And his interviews are also very good. He seems to be able to coax stuff out of players others can't. Even though I used to make fun of his Minolta plugs when Kostis talked about someone's swing, he usually had a good point.

he's just disparaging Kostis because he's a Reed fan. Even if Peter had sour grapes it wouldn't be towards Reed, it would be towards CBS. Not sure his argument holds water. I tend to believe Kostis seeing Reed cheat 4 times minimum than to Reed saying he didn't build a sand castle in waste bunker. I saw it with my own eyes. We all get opinions though.

For the sake of absolute accuracy, Kostis didn't accuse Reed of cheating. He stated what he saw, giving specific and detailed instances, but he made a point of saying he couldn't comment on intent.

That’s true. Committing an infraction and getting penalized can be accidental or intentional, but cheating is intentional. While Kostis didn’t want to drop the bomb on Reed, I’m pretty confident he thinks Reed is a cheater due to being a multiple time lie improvement violator.
