My guess is someone at TM read an old tennis article from when racquets went from the handle connecting to the hoop in one piece to the “V” shaped throat area. I remember it promoted better stability. Sure it was an improvement for tennis racquets, but I don’t think that translates to putters as slow as they’re hitting the golf ball.

I don't think a couple of them are that bad. The center shafted models. Eh, pass I would for try it. I am just not sure about the price.. Your not far off from a lightly customized milled putter at that point.

How does it make the whole face the sweet spot? I don't get it. I could see it being more stable if you're swinging it 100mph, for putting I don't get it.

I think the Truss just resist twisting a lot more, they used Quintic to show the differences, Matty hit some off the toe on purpose and the ones hit off the toe with truss where straighter or equivalent to the center strikes on the normal Anser style putter. I think that's a pretty insane performance upgrade, a lot more significant increase in performance than a new driver giving 2 mph more ball speed.

Have heard good things from people who have rolled them and from the playing position it looks like a normal putter. I'm actually kind of intrigued by one of the mallets if it's as stable as it seems it would be. I've had some success in the past with center shafted putters.

I can see it making sense from a twisting perspective, should be a lot more stable that say a traditional plumbers neck or flow neck for those who miss the sweet spot frequently. It will force the putter to rotate around the more twist resistant shaft/hosel union or into the hands of the putter rather than wanting to rotate around the neck. I don’t think they’re that awful looking. If it helped me make more putts I’d game one.

Funny they harp on about aerodynamics, then they knock out a range of putters that feature an air-brake. Not that it matters unless you're playing the links with a 50mph wind. I think I have a couple of these designs in my doodle pad!

They do look well put together.

I'm sure the TM folks knew they need to have a demonstrable improvement for this to fly just from talking with their tour staff.

I'll give it a roll, but it's really gotta get the performance and feel right to go here.

I liked more comments about this being ugly than I have in quite a while. That being said, I'll give it a roll. After a few tweaks to my 2ball I'm rolling it better than ever, but if this monstrosity means I jar 2 more putts per round it's worth it.
