Yeah i do want to see the full review. I will say though... if you already have a decent stroke, the stab shaft doesn't do much ('ve tested it myself). If you do make non-center contact pretty often than yeah this putter in the #7 head plus some heavier weight plus a stab shaft would be money. I may still go down that road eventually....

Are they saying that without all that extra iron their normal hosel is so weak it lets the head flop about?

Some of them are fully face balanced, some are like 30 degrees or something.

I can't imagine a putter swing is so fast that it would need that much more material to stabilize the putter face... another TaylorMade gimmic.

It's not really the tech itself, but the shaft positions on the plumbers neck versions (TB1 and TM1) are more towards the center than non-Truss putters, so that's why there is less toe hang.

TB1: 16 degree toe hang (compared to 36 for the Juno)

TB2: Face-balanced

TM1: 10 degree toe hang

TM2: Face-balanced

How much force are people swinging their putter to require framing architecture to be instituted in their putter? Clearly someone hasn't figured out how to incorporate twist face or speed foam into a putter, so they came up with this.

Some of the reviews I've seen have been pretty positive. And while it looks ugly from the back, it seems to look pretty normal on top. Would be curious to try one out!

I wouldn't try this. Will have little resale value, doesn't suit my eye, and the tech is not convincing anyone. MOI can make sense, but the truss is just a weird unique look.

It seems like people are just clamoring for something to complain about. If you don't like it, don't play it, it's that simple. With all golf equipment, any technology advances are going to be absolutely minimal, but any incremental positive is just that: a positive. It's like the long distance cyclists who do things like drill holes in their toothbrush to save 2 grams of weight. No, it's not going to make a huge difference, but it's something that either a) helps over the long run, or b) helps their peace of mind and they in turn perform better.

At least TM is putting SOMETHING new instead of putting out another plumbers neck blade, to which ping fanboys will jump on saying "THEY JUST COPIED THE ANSER AGAIN!!!!!"

I wonder how you bend one of these truss putters for loft and lie and what would happen to the performance of the putter. Surely this would affect the truss?

I can't imagine they are very bendable. I wouldn't try it. I'm guessing TM can make different lies for tour staff.

Sure it's been done before, but it's something that 99% of current golfers don't see on a day-to-day basis either on tour or at their course. It's "new" to them, which is the market they're targeting

These really are center shafted plumber neck putters. Very similar to the new seemore putters. Those have my eye a bit as well.

Had a chance to putt with the new truss putters. Has to be the ugliest putter I have ever looked down at EVER. theres just no way of being nice about it. Once you try it in person, you wonder who in the world allowed this to come into fruition.
