Whey they actually play at the stated Length.   The MG's, MG2's, & Hi Toes do not.

TM changed their measurements last year and everything they measure comes up 1/4 short from every other OEM & my club ruler (it's even on their website)

Actually, that’s not accurate.  I bought my MG2 and HiToe AFTER TaylorMade changed their measuring process. And the measuring difference between previous generation clubs using the old measuring standard and new clubs using the new standard is closer to 1/8”.  (I have 2017 and 2019 P•790s and I pulled the grips and measured them.)

Check the TaylorMade website for specs.  The TW specs list the length as 1/4” longer than the length of the standard MG2. And that’s exactly how much my TW measures compared to standard MG2. All specs for current clubs are listed under the current measuring standard.

Mine came on Monday. They look good, but the shafts were little sticky and the oil finishes didn't look clean on the club head.

These are custom orders not the special box edition. I didn't compare it well with the special box specs, so mine came with TM tour velvet grip, not GP tour velvet cord grips.

Need Greg to tell us what the differences are between these and Tigers actual wedges. I think they are the same.. Lot of urban legend stuff in this thread saying they’re not.

The wedges for sale are Tiger's grind but not replica's of his wedges. Tiger's wedges are raw heads not chrome with the "raw face".

I got mine in a few days ago. Only had 9 holes to play with them so far but feel is interesting. Very firm/solid feel similar to the feel of the irons. It actually caught me by surprise they felt so similar. It’s a very different feeling from the PXG wedges I have been using for months. Taking them out again this morning for a full round. I bought the box edition since I have the irons/box also. Upon delivery I realized I had seriously paid $100 extra for the box. It is a nice heavy box but still crazy.

Sorry MG's come up really short on a normal club ruler at the playing angle.  TM even states this when you do a custom order form.
My 52 Measures 35.25 even though it's stated 35.5

My 56 Barely Measures 35 even though it's stated 35.25

IDK how TM measure club length but's it's unique and clubs come up short.

The TW's actually measure to their length because I'm sure Tiger told TM I want a GD 35.50" SW not a 35.15" Sand wedge like you sell to the masses.

Looking at Tiger’s past few WITB’s, his mg2’s are satin chrome, not raw. His previous generation mg’s were raw. Not these.

I guess the small rust spots are just a bad finish job for the highest profile player in golf

Snagged a 60 off of the bay with a coupon I had and just took delivery. Comparing to my other 60's when opened up a bit:

-Vokey SM7 S Grind 60/10: the leading edge rises up a little

-MG2 TW 60/11: leading edge stays pretty flush

-Cobra MIM 60/08 Versatile Grind (similar to Vokey M Grind): leading edge sits a tiny tiny bit more flush than the TW, but pretty similar

So, basically, more bounce than the S grind, but similar flush leading edge to the M grind. I guess that's exactly what the marketing says.

So on a Mitchell club ruler how long would the stock TW wedges actually measure? I’m debating if I need to order them .25” short or not.

My retail satin chrome MG2’s have few little tiny rust spots like that on them as well. Moisture can rust on plated stuff too. It’s way way lighter than something that’s plated for sure. Look at the gleam on the hosel.. that doesn’t look raw, unless someone polished it.. I think those are plated.. The little micro patterns on the face wear off pretty quick as well..

Regardless of the method you choose measure them, the TW wedges are 1/4” longer than the similarly lofted MG2/HiToe counterpart.  Just like the specs state.

My TW 60 is the same exact length as my Vokey SM7 60 which is listed at 35".

It is also 1/2" shorter than my Cobra MIM 60 which has the Arccos sensor on the butt cap and listed at 35.5".

The TW is listed at 35.25" but if you go by the other two wedge measurements then it is actually 35".

No clue how it stacks up to the regular MG2 or hi toes.

Got my box set today. The grips are alot softer in hand then I thought they would be. Unwrapped them and had a few swings on the carpet. Feel VERY nice. SW feels perfect. Was gaming T20 with the S400 but these will be going straight in the bag. Sit amazing even with the carpet tiles the blade almost sits flush so no fear of the thin lol. I had MG2 a while ago and these look alot nicer. I actually like the faded grey more then the standard MG2.

Took these out to the course this morning.

Just amazing! Sit nice and close to the ground, even when you open the face up. But the bounce is there at the back when you make the swing. You need to play with these for a bit and then you realize what a huge difference a great grind can make to a wedge.

So far the Vokey M grind was the closest I got to a wedge that worked with me and my swing, and did not require me to contort or change my swing to get the result I visualized. These are even better!

Absolutely loving them. So much so that after the round, I went to the short game practice area to just to hit these over and over again. Going to get a back up set or two...

I received mine yesterday. Was able to take them for a spin today. Already in the bag, along with the Tiger spec'd P7-TW'.irons.

These wedges are so solid. I was a bit concerned with the bounce. My home course has extremely tight and firm fairways. About as tight and firm as you'll probably find. The turf interaction was incredible. On extremely tight lies, I was opening up the 60 from 70 to 80 yards, front of stance, full swing... shallow divot, slid right under and performed great.

Still wish they would have just offered tigers wedges instead of just his grind. I’ll eat crow if someone proves me wrong that he doesn’t play “raw face technology.” I just can’t look down at it. Hideous.

If you look through his WITB pics, the faces are rusted out pretty good while the rest of the wedge is “satin”. I think the retail ones are real deal. Just my opinion/conclusion..  That pattern on the face wears away pretty quick btw...

Do you really use your 60 degree wedge for full shots like that? And opened up as well? Man, everything I'm trying to accomplish from that range has to do with keeping the trajectory low with a lot of spin. Opening up a 60* from that distance just sounds like trouble (for me at least)!
