Not really an oldie to me because I've just started using them, but the TEE XCG7 and E8 lines are about as perfect for me as any FW metal ever made. The leading edge has built-in bounce, and I cannot for life of me catch the ball too low/fat.

Sad to report my list would be at least double or triple that length DW

my true Excalibur was a Ping Tisi TEC 5w ... 17* head, f10 hosel, Fuji speeder tour spec 952x .. oh mama I could get 250 off the deck CARRY with that 10 years ago

recently I’m in love with the strong 5w in my sig.  the g400 fairways, and driver, are soooooo good with heavy weights in the back

the g25 4w saw extended action as did the Callaway 5 deep

Quite a short list for me, I'm loyal to a good 3 wood

Played one of the original Cleveland Hibores during my junior days and upgrade to a Titleist 910 f 3 wood when they came out.

Apart from considering changing the shaft in it as my swing is a bit stronger now, its here to stay

Different fairway woods have come and gone, and different OEMs have had their ups and downs, but I can honestly say I have never owned (or hit) a disappointing Titleist fairway wood. I play the TS2s but I could happily game just about any Titleist fairway from the past 10-15 years.

I have a MP-001 4 wood with S300 shaft! It is so easy for me to hit off the tee or fairway and straight. Love it so much. It is my go to club if I feel my swing is off and it always corrects!

Never did the metal shaft in the fairway but was always tempted....

I still rock a 909 F2, 15.5º, cut to 5-wood length. I hit a TS3 this summer that may do it, but that'd be all that knocks it out of the bag.

This was like 5 years ago and I trade three random 6 irons (some demo irons I got from my friend’s garage...titleist 735cm, rac LT, and some other club)...used market right now is like Tech bubble, you have people wanting a set of ancient used clubs selling for 3-5x what they are worth

I've had a lot of problems hitting all these newer 3W with the uber large heads EVEN THOUGH I've shallowed out my swing quite a bit. So I've been playing a 16* hybrid for a looooong time now.

That said I never found much value in spending so much for a club I'll (maybe) use 1-3 times a round max. But I'm finding that I can't reach a par 5 very often nowadays with the 16* hybrid coming up just a little bit short.

So recently I'm back experimenting with my old 13* Sonartec NP-99 (during scrambles since I don't have to play my misses. :classic_biggrin: ) Don't quite trust it again/yet for regular play.

But I am hitting it very well again. Very straight and finding the sweet spot most of the time. Very solid club.

My only real love in a 3W was my Ping G15 that I  gave away this year. The low profile was perfect and I decided it was time to change. Why oh why did I give you away???  Lured by a newer shinier face on a Callaway Epic Flash. Like giving up on the wife of your youth only to find that the new one can’t cook or clean. She just looks better in the bag.

I went through a bunch of 3w's this year. Realized I didnt hit my PXG Gen 1 with the HZRDUS Yellow shaft in it well and didnt trust it from the deck.

I went through my stash, swapped a bunch of shafts in and out, even some classics I have been hanging on to. Bought a few new ones, PXG Gen 2, TS2, and a couple of others.

TS2 was the closest, but turned just a little too much to the left and wasnt 100% confident from the deck. Finally a TS3 16.5 at C-1 has answered my prayers (I hope!) Couple rounds on it so far, but nice high flying and easy to hit.

Interesting this year, I lofted up on my 3w and my Hybrid (17 to a 19*) and hitting them both killer! Longer and more consistent than ever.

I cant believe it took this many years to realize it....16.5 should be the new norm. So many golfers would do better with a 16.5 vs a 15*!

I think one of the big keys for me is not just loft, bc really 1.5* isn’t THAT different, but also a little less length

This is one reason I've taken to sometimes not carrying a fairway wood, but instead using a Stage 2 Tour 2h at 16.5* as the lone club between irons and driver.  Shorter club lengths, heavier shafts available, quite lovely.

In Ye Olde Tymes, most golfers carried a 3w along with driver, and it was 17*.  A 14* club was a 2w, and few carried one, unless it was in place of driver.  So more modern 4 woods seems normal...

Still bagging a NIke T-60 with a Speeder 757 in it. It doesn't have a mega hot face like the modern stuff, but it has a pleasing head shape, a nice deep face to take a bit of spin off, which is good for me,  and goes as far as I need a 15 degree 3 wood to go. I works off the deck nicely and is a very capable tee club.

An odd, aged choice, but I'm a man who played a Flex-Twist-shafted Tour Spoon until 2005 and had youngsters at my club asking what on earth it was.

Wow. I can't even begin to imagine having been through this many 3 woods. I can't remember the 3 woods I had before my current 3 wood, but you could count them on the fingers of your hand. I have had a Taylormade 15 deg R9 3 wood in my bag for many years. I have yet to find anything better for me. I can hit newer 3 woods longer, but that just screws up my gaps anyway. The R9 is consistent, I can move it anyway I want, and it is always dependable. I believe I have had this club since around 2009/2010.
