Possible Putter Change For the GOAT

In a picture uploaded to Tigers TGR Instagram and then relayed by my guy TW Spot it looks like the GOAT is holding some sort of slant neck while participating in a Member Guest Tournament down in Cabo. Very well could be someone else's, considering he's not even wearing golf spikes, but there is also the possibility of a putter change before heading to the PNC this weekend. Guess we will have to wait and find out!

Tiger tinkers in his off time, probably just brought it out for fun since a member guest tournament isn't exactly competitive.

Maybe.. That would be cool. I know TM is pushing hard on their putter line and expanding the myputter section. So maybe some of these will start to be available. Putters with interchangeable or custom necks would be pretty cool.

And this post is the definition of ridiculous.  If there was a picture of Tiger holding a shovel, someone would probably post that he was switching out his Scotty for a new putter.

You're probably right. But that's okay cause you chose to come in this forum and read it. If you don't want to read about Tiger switching putters, then don't click a forum that says something about him making a putter change. Its that simple. 

 

Probably would putt pretty well with a shovel. Roy Mcavoy used one pretty well

 Don't waste your time.  I am in full agreement that Jack Nicklaus us the GOAT based on record in majors.  Tiger Woods is no slouch either.  I believe Woods is GOAT Jr.

Not “to each their own”. It’s not even an argument anymore if it ever was. Jack’s best was not even in the same league as tiger’s best. Jack beat a bunch of part time golfers and used car salesmen!

Impossible to tell from this pic, but it looks to me like an old mid-slant. The shaft band kind of fits with the band used on the pro platinum line. But I'm sure it's probably just my brain finding pattern matches with what it knows from before. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit to add: If that's Tiger's putter, it seems like one of those situations he's discussed in the past where he uses different putters to give himself different feels. Would be shocked if this was something we'd see in competition.

Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer, Seve, Greg Norman, and a lengthy list of others would be very upset at your valuation of their careers. That is, if they cared...which they don't.

Making comparisons across eras is always subjective as well as futile. Just appreciate the greatness of both, as the men themselves do, and leave it at that.
