Toulon 2022?

Does anyone know if you can you buy weight plates off their website?  I don’t see any on the Bay…..

I just got a JV (Japanese Version) Austin from CPO and it's like a hybrid new/old: More of a grey mist finish, like the pre-Odyssey finish, but much lighter than the current dark grey (which I like as well). But has the full face milling + Odyssey/Toulon badging. like the current version. And a different grip than the current sink fit style.

 

Anyone know if there's any difference between the JV heads and the US domestic heads? This has the S20 weight in it on a strokelab shaft and feels very heavy. But putts very smoothly.

 

Can't wait to see the new line.

Got the San Diego (JV). From what my friend who works in Carlsbad says, the only difference is the finish like you noticed.  Not sure what the stock weight plate is stateside, but S20 seems to come stock in the Japanese version of the San Diego and Austin based on what you and I got (I had to switch it out to the A7 for my preferred feel).

Snagged the JV San Diego from Callaway Preowned. Differences are color, grip (DFX in JV version), and the stroke lab shaft shows carbon pattern where US version does not. Sole weights are the same, S20, in both versions. Satin mist color is awesome though and obviously very unique.  Mine came brand new in plastic with the JV owners manual which was cool.

Are you confident in this? I have the most recent version of the Toulon Atlanta w/ Stroke Lab in the US version and it does show the carbon in the shaft, unlike my other Odyssey double wide.

 

I was figuring that carbon might just be a Toulon vs no Toulon thing

Good point. I was comparing it to my Stroke Lab Black 7s. So sounds like it is a Toulon thing. Good catch!

My uneducated guess would be that is entirely visual meant to appear "more premium" or w/e. Frankly I prefer the matte black no carbon look

Just got a call that I was one of the 25 selected to purchase the LaGrange model.  Kind of surprised me.  I wonder how many people don't get the call. 

 

Anyway the putter arrives in two weeks.

Yep I'll get them posted up as soon as it comes in.  I didn't really expect to get it so I'm not real sure if I'm going to use it or keep it as a collectible.  Time will tell.

I was hoping to see a Toulon Austin with a top sight line, Graphite shaft and new weight system like Kevin Na, new putter. might have kept me from buying the new Scotty C. Phantom X 5.5, JT Model. But I broke down and purchased the SC, might still consider the Austin if configured correctly for my liking. Looking forward to seeing them.

JV Austin and it's litter mate JV Chicago. I think the Chicago head suits my stroke best but doublebend shafts still give me fits with getting aligned. That said, I've owned a lot (way too many) putters over the years and the JV Toulons are among my favorites ever of any OTR putters. Just a really nice product.

Toulon isn't Toulon anmore 😞 just odyssey.

 

I saw a cool jet black mallet style picture somewhere, looked like it was branded Toulon on the bottom. was a tour pic, but don't know where it is. Looked a bit like a TM spider head. I could be wrong of course.

Is that a knuckle on a Chicago? I've been searching for (and think I have found) that precise solution for doublebend Odyssey/Toulon putters. I'm hoping it would solve my alignment issues with doublebend necks (I align much better with a plumbers neck) while maintaining the face balanced/near face balanced toe hang that works best for me.

 

That looks like either tour van/Garage, right? Either way, both of those are awesome!

 

Edited to add: that sight dot on the topline is amazing. So much better than the standard line on the flange. I am envious!
