Hey! Figured I’d start the yearly thread. Anybody hear about what the updates to the Select/Studio Select line are going to be for next year?

If he was wise he would make a simpler design. Based off his upcoming limited release its just the same old stuff. Needs to go back to putting titleist in the cavity imo. Cherry bombs are right there with middle-aged men and nike monarchs. It's "timeless" to them.

This. All I would like is to see the 11 be offered in LH. Otherwise my 6m will continue to be my only Scotty. 

 

Speaking of Scotty, I was browsing on the Sik website and saw a shirt they had throwing some stones at them and figured some would get a laugh if they get the reference.

I think Scotty will come out with one more special putter.

 

A flow neck PHANTOM X 11.5     The reason that I think that he will bring out a flow neck on this putter is that on the custom site, theres no option to have a sightline put on the top line of the X11 or X11.5. You can have a dot but not a sightline.  Here comes a 11.5 with a flow neck and top sightline and no markings on the back flange.

I don’t see Scotty will dramatically change 2020 Special Select line. Maybe he’ll introduce a few models like expansion. 
 

I think 2020 Special Select has been pretty successful.

Should do a line where the faces cave in after 100 putts to then set up a huge comeback the following year of one of the best scotty lines of all time...generate some excitement again lol

it is my pro just emailed saying we are getting a good crack at them. Thinking of ordering both a NP and NP2 and selling the one I don’t prefer as much. Not crazy about the bottom but you don’t play with that bit so who cares haha. 

Around $650 USD and in shops Aug 6th.

There was some durability issue with 2012 black Select finish. Hence, Scotty switched the Select line to silver finish in 2014. 

 

I think it'll be really cool if Scotty can offer some non-silver finish in OTR. Spice up the line a little bit.

Time to make my same ole post regarding Scotty.

BRING BACK THE PRO PLATINUM LINE!!!!  That sweet, sweet nickel plated carbon steel was the best he ever made.  (also make it in LH)

Watching the scotty cameron instagram page, i see a lot of "tuna" style face millings rolling around. Maybe they keep 95% of the current SS series, but update face milling? Maybe a couple new models? Would love to see a long neck newport.....

Yes, I noticed this too! I wonder why they don't release a version of the 11 with sightline on top?

This may be sacrilege to the Scotty guys, but I’m already planning to send my Champion’s Select off to get a darker finish over the winter. I just putt better with the darker finishes and a white sight line.

Currently sporting a 2020 fastback 1.5. Kind of want to switch to a Newport but hesitant with a potential 2022 update.

He did the H20. I feel like special releases always have a nod to something coming to regular production.

 

I am trying to fight the urge to get a current 11.5 and have a neck welded at a premium if I can just get one OTR in ‘22.

The current Phantom line is released in 2021. Hence, it won’t get any update until 2023.
