Is anyone more annoying than Colt Knost?

he's insuffrable he's always poking shots at his fellow coworkers especially nobillo. He's condescending and not to mention just flat wrong on some opinions he's so sure about. Not a fan, also not digging trevor imm either in the booth but for different reasons. golf TV just sucks in general

He was on the course at least for the weekend. He brought nothing of note and had a few crass takes, but that's his personality.

He was sitting w/Amanda in the “penalty box” wearing a hockey jersey. I believe they intentionally had him wear a Flames jersey bcs they are a rival of the local Leafs. (not a big hockey guy so that might be incorrect) So he was getting booed and heckled etc. Meh

NO matter who is mic'd, someone has a problem.  It's a tough job to ad lib and parrot to fill airtime.  It's about who does well on camera, mic and can repeat what is told to them through headphones.  In the end, they can't make everyone happy.  The guys on ESPN's telecast are really different.

 

@cassel191919 I always enjoy DP commentators.  Only European commentators wouldn't work in America.  Golf and spectators in Europe are different from the drunk loud mouth gallery's in America.

Colt is a good guy. Normal and friendly in person. Spent a day with him when he came to my place and was trying gain distance to keep playing. He’s just trying to make a living. Give him a break.

This is wrx.  There are no breaks given.  The keyboard tough guy doesn't just stop with players.  It includes broadcasters.  I've half a mind to start my own thread criticizing the technicians who laid the wires.  Did you see how p!ss-poor of a job they did this past week?

Hate to correct you (too much of that happening to you on here lately lol) but fLames and Leafs aren’t really rivals other than both being Canadian. They play in different conferences so only play 2x a year. 
 

People were booing because the fLames are disgusting and an awful franchise*

I find it ironic that Colt clearly had issues with Faldo, and the snide remarks that Faldo would make towards Colt on air, but clearly it's ok for Colt to basically do the same thing to Nobilo and that is ok.

You don’t understand the politics, ego, diva tendencies of some in broadcasting. It’s a bloody minefield and he’s in the middle, as the glue or the referee. If you knew some of these people, you wouldn’t throw hand grenades like that.   Grrrrrrr.

He's tough to listen to.

 

Last week was the first time I've ever muted a sporting event. I generally like the rest of the crew but it seemed like everyone was just trying to get a word in and they were all hamming it up more than normally to match Colt's cheesiness. Seemed like there was virtually no quiet time and a ton of hyperbole.

 

Colt's strategy insights were also a tad crazy to me. Talking about how people should bit hitting fairway woods from bunkers and from bad lies in the rough. Also suggesting Taylor should try to get a free drop on 18 when he clearly wasn't standing on the sprinkler head. We should be patting him on the back for being honest and keeping play moving, not talking about how he should waste time trying to bend the rules.

i think this is true to an extent but everybody knows a colt. fat chubby kid who doesnt have the individualism and go getter behavior to be better so he constantly belittles coworkers just enough to make himself feel good. maybe he's suppressed by cbs and not a total loser but im just not convinced yet

I've watched some of the interactions you mention.  I like Faldo.  He expects respect from people, as he should, but Colt wasn't having any of it.  Nobilo and Colt have a different relationship, where jabbing one another is acceptable.  I like Colt, but he's a smart azz youngster, that at times, doesn't know when to walk away; which will get him in trouble.

 

@Barfolomew I wouldn't call it a corporate atmosphere.  It's older accomplished, vs younger wannabees, and younger too often lack manners and respect, so they eventually face repercussions that they didn't see coming.
