Walkers...what's the most comfortable-best shoe for walking when playing?

For those of you who walk when playing, what shoe do you find is the most comfortable?   Factors to consider are which provides the most arch support(a big issue for me), and which ones can handle slightly wet conditions and keep your feet dry?

You're probably going to get a different answer from everyone due to all feet being different. 

 

A good place to start would be the Spy website's most wanted spiked and spikeless shoe ratings and focus on the comfort rating. It'll give you a list of candidates to go try on.

I wear my favorite sneaker, Fila. I then mount a set of GolfKicks on them.  More comfortable then any golf shoes I've found and just as good for golf with the spikes.

I recently walked 18 wearing some old nike lunar waverleys and they totally destroyed my feet, and I had another round the next next day, the only golf shoes I have which didnt cause more damage was some adidas tour 360 22s, the ultra boost did a great job, and they're a bit wider than most of my nike golf shoes.  only downside was they're a bit hot on hot days, although it wasnt uncomfortable.

 

Normally I wear next%'s, jordan 1's, air max 1 or 90s but recently no matter what I wear my feet/legs hurt alot after the round, with my job and walking 18 after work I notch up something like 18-20 miles a day.. maybe thats why 😅

I’m REALLY liking the New Balance Fresh Foam Contend shoes I bought a few months ago. Really light weight, but have tons of support and great stability. Very comfy and have exceptional grip for a non spiked shoe. I would prefer a more traditional look, but really everything else about these shoes is perfect.

Make sure they are not all leather or vinyl.  Need some kind of mesh material so your feet can breathe.  I have a couple pairs of Callaway shoes that are very comfortable.  Check amazon.

I've been really happy with the ASICS too.  Great comfort, traction, and even water proof.  I ordered a second pair with the discount too.

Walk every hole of every round and I have never, ever had a problem with FootJoy whether that was DryJoys, Classics, Icons, DNA or DryJoy Premiere. The only time I have ever had bother with my feet is when I wore a soft Nike shoe for too much walking at Disney...plantar fasciitis is not much fun!

Zg23 is a flawless shoe.  Recently dropped to $160 too from 200.  I’m very picky on comfort and blisters on heel.

Where did you find $160? I'm in the market and the lowest I'm seeing is $180 at GG/Dicks.

I love the Nike OG Zits; have tried other shoes ADG4, VT3, AM90, J1 Lows, Zits Next% etc and OG zits are still my go to.

Check out the Olukai thread.they are very comfortable and breathable for spikeless. Spiked footjoy hyperflex is very comfortable for walking.

I have a rotation of 3 shoes. Jordan 1 lows, FJ Traditions, and old adidas tour 360s with Boost. Comfort wise, it’s the Tour 360s by a good margin. The Boost cushioning puts it over the top. It’s also probably the most stable

I've actually really enjoyed the FJ Traditions for walking.  Light weight and flexible enough for comfort, but stable enough for my swing.  I was having some plantar faciitis issues and tried athletic style Nike, Adidas and FJ seeking relief via comfort/flexibility, and even tried some Icons and Premieres looking for relief via more stability.  The issues finally went away once I started wearing the Traditions.

TRUE Lux Hybrid--bedroom slipper comfort with appropriate support right out of the box.  I have 2 pair--they've finally done away with the uncomfortable zero drop with this model.  The styling and colorways are way cool !

Amazon has certain sizes for even lower. Just ordered a 10 and it was $140

 

I ordered the Skechers Go Golf Pro 5 Hyper but not sure about them. They are snug and pretty comfy(although uppers could be better) but(this may sound weird) I fear the lace holes will rip since I like my shoes tied tight and there are no metal rings in them.

 

I have been wearing a pair of Callaway's for about 15 years. They lasted till now cause i always used a cart. This year I'm walking 18 and the rubber finger inserts that hold the spike keep coming unglued and flop around. I glue them and they laast a couple rounds, but coming loose mid round is getting old.
