Hogan Ft Worth 15 were butter, great turf interaction, and can be had a for a decent price.

No question the current Wilson Staff Blades, now playing.

Hogan Ft. Worth 15 white, still play too.

Hogan Personal Model 1982, still own

Wilson Ken Venturi Personal SG 202

Bottom of the pile I own and no longer play...2014 TM tour preferred muscle back.  Look fantastic but it stops there.

1) Nike OG Blades - still own, buttery soft and still my favourite looking club ever, weak lofts and shorter shafts mean they stay in my office, looking sexy.

2) Vega VM-01 - bought an old demo 7 iron from the range I used to use - beautiful.

3) Nike VR Pros - still in the bag and will be until I wear them out. Can't fault the performance but the only way they were a step back from the OGs was in feel - still feel great, but not quite as soft and can be a little clicky on mishits.

99) Wilson Patty Berg from the 70s. The set I learned to play with, and being 8 feel wasn't something I paid attention to 🤣

I thought this was going to be pretty straight forward from the onset but I guess not. Of the irons that I've played over the past 15 years or so...

1) Black Ox / Raw MIura 1957 Baby Blade

2) Black Raw Yururi Flat Back

3) Miura 1957 Baby Blade / Nicklaus LE / Tournament Blade / MB-101

4) 1973 Hogan Apex / Hogan Precision (mid-late 1950's model)

5) Wilson FG-17 / Scratch SB-1

6) TaylorMade P7MB (2023) / P730

7) Titleist 680 / 681

Of those that I still own and play regularly...

1) Black Ox / Raw MIura 1957 Baby Blade

2) Miura Nicklaus LE

3) Hogan Precision (mid-late 1950's model)

4) TaylorMade P7MB (2023) / P730

Of all the irons listed, the TaylorMade P7MB (2023) and Black Miura baby blades get the most course time. My "primary" set of irons right now are the P7MBs.

The feel of all of these irons is really difficult to rank subjectively since the shaft and grips play such a big part. I'm fortunate that the majority of these sets have seen various shafts in the time that I've owned them (most prevalent being S400s and $-Tapers, even in the classic Hogan Precisions) and I tend to stick with the same/similar grips. If I had to pick a single set of heads on feel alone, it would be the baby blade without a doubt. I grew up playing the FG-17s and 1973 Apexs in the balata era so I really like an iron with a "softer" feel, even today.

Well owning every Mizuno blade from the MP 14's through the MP 5's,

My favorites were the MP33's,

MP 68's, 37's, 4's and 5's. Playing

Musclebacks was a 50 plus year affliction,  with Mizuno's leading the club count

Still have both of these:

Callaway X-Protos

Maxfli Aussie Blades (the nickel plated ones)

Hate to say it, I love the way my 2014 TM MBs look and play but they don’t come close to those other 2 sets in terms of feel.

Cobra King Tec 17*, Fujikura Axiom 105S

Adams A12 19*, Diamana Thump X

The only reason I didn't list those 99 Aussie Blades is that I have never owned a set.  They were the softest club I'd ever hit.

Still have a set of the Z945s, got them used in mint condition, then reshafted with recoils, butter....

Also had a set of 1976 Wilson staff blades, played them one year in High School then sold them to a friend, one set I wish I still had.  Still also have my set of Palmer "the Standard" blades I got new in 1982, haven't played them in about 20 years though...

One clubmaker I don't see mentioned much is KZG.   I had a mixed set of their blades in the mid 2000s, basically were copies of the MP-29s, they were very nice to hit.   IIRC, Mickelson actually dabbled with them for a very short time 20+ years ago as they made them in LH.

It's not even a blade, LOL.

The only irons I've ever thought were worth mentioning on a "feel" basis would be the Mizuno MP-64

I've had and hit countless blades from all the major manufacturers and none beat the 64. Best club I've ever hit on a purely feel basis.

Best feel?  For me it was back when balata balls were the thing. They set the standard for me. Happened to be using Ram Tour Grinds with Good old DG S300.

Modern day id go with mizuno MP 5 with DGS 300 and a Pro V1, different but good

Think shaft and ball have as much or more to do with it than the head.

Thing is with Blades that feel is elusive. Only get ti feel it a few times a round.  I get to feel that I missed it a bit far more often.

100%. I decided to bench mine as kids were making my swing far more inconsistent. This started my WRX journey of churning sets of irons and constantly being unhappy with them.  I've finally settled on PXG 0311T Gen3.  They don't feel as good as the MP-64s but they feel quite good in their own way and don't punish mishits nearly as badly.

I also have a set of MP-32s, which I used before the 64s. Also excellent but I think the 64s feel even better.
