Never Compromise Putters Comeback

They are 450$ apparently. At that price point, this comeback is going to be short-lived.

Adams acquired Yes! out of bankruptcy in 2011 and then TMag acquired Adams in 2012 so the last few years of Yes! was under TMag’s control. The C-Groove patent expired in 2015 and although it is likely that Taylormade still has a trademark for the C-Groove name, the milling pattern has been public domain for nearly a decade.

I hate to comment on price, but at $450 per putter you have to assume these won't do well. They are likely better off at $350 to undercut Cameron and Bettinardi, if nothing else the nostalgia factor for me is insane! 

 

The silver models look really good, and the components are awesome but I'll have to wait on a price drop.

I love my Never Compromise Robusto. But, if it's more along the lines of what was posted in the links above, it'll be quite disappointing.

Think these look better than the Phantom line that dropped today, but not sure I'd pay $450 US for one...

Hey look only 1 lefty model. 

 

I will say I think the biggest plus of these is that you can actually select the weights you want. Go into a TaylorMade, Scotty, Odyssey thread and you just hear guys "why won't they let me pick the weights I want?" well now they can.

That's the price of every putter released these days so that's up to the person buying it.

I was excited for this release as I a gamed a NC back in the day

$449.00 has tempered that excitement

Additionally, SRI Sports (now Dunlop Sports) acquired Cleveland in 2007 so they were the ones to shelve the NC brand a little over a decade ago. Ultimately selling putters that retail over $300 is tough.

That “Never Compromise” logo in the cavity looks horrible to me. $450 for a putter that looks like it came in a starter set from Walmart. I don’t see these doing well at all.

I still have 2 Never Compromise Anser style putters; I have had them in and out of the bag the past several years, they made quality back in the day.  At a club I used to belong to back around 2010 we had the seniors tour rep for Cleveland/Srixon as a member, he got a bunch of guys tour-issued clubs and several of their putters, but mine were off the rack....  My Dinero Baron I think was like $299 new at the time.

nice head weight to them and felt very stable. Putter in hand feels 100 percent class and 449 pricing was justifiable given the custom fit concept

I remember when these first came on the scene. They were so small you could call and the actual ppl running the company/designing the putters would answer the phone. Did it a few times and had some great conversations.

I like my Srixon and still have a couple of NC putters from back in the days. Unfortunately I have to agree with Gio here that they have completely missed the boat. NC had some great things going way back then and the brand should have never been killed off. Now it's just another brand making putters that look just like everyone else, and into a much more crowded space. 

I wish their success but I just don't see the path to get there.

Way too many putters out there for them to charge that much .  Seems like TM and Odyyssy pump out a 100 new putters every year .

Never Compromise made quality putters ... But there was a reason you could always find brand new putters on the 'Bay for half price. They had virtually no tour presence and didn't sell. Not sure what the difference us now, unless Srixon thinks the abundance of over priced putters will make their brand more alluring somehow?

Interesting. I have a Dinero Forged putter from back in the day that I picked up used for a hundred bucks.

 

This new line gets a no from me on the looks, no for me on the price, no for me on the flange lines (not one top line or sight dot?), and no for me on lack of lefty options. I can’t really see these competing with Odyssey, Scotty or any other top name, but we shall see.

 

But they sure did look nice in the past.

The badge was cheap in the original models. My zl alphas badge peeled right off.
