How long did it stay in your bag before getting rid of it?

Over the years I’ve bought clubs and miscellaneous golf related products that I regretted and got rid of, sometimes straight from the course to the store I bought it from.  Luckily, we have Roger Dunn golf shops in CA that provide us their 90-day satisfaction guarantee, which allows us to return items no questions asked.

 

Post the item(s) you have returned or got rid of (i.e., sold) along with the number of rounds and days…

I disliked a product so much it got me wondering how many other WRXers out there have come across an item they bought and disliked that they couldn’t wait to get rid of.  lol

I know I cannot hit a driving iron, I prefer woods/hybrids. I watched Scottie Scheffler play two of these lovely UI's & for some reason thought 'Yeah I can do that'... Roughly 3-4 balls later at the range reality kicked in again. 

 

I'm an idiot.

A 7 wood, nowhere near what I see with a 20 degree hybrid or a utility iron - lasted one round and a few balls on the range.

Good of you to return it. I used to be the guy how bought way too difficult to hit clubs now and then when money was not a big issue (before kids…), and rather keep for future and improved swings that never arrived. Still have a Mizuno set, some woods and a bunch of wedges that i take to the range occasionally…🤣

Someone on here (name escapes me right now) actually sold a club/set before they ever even took possession of it.  Literally sold it while it was being shipped to them after their purchase of it.  And they didn't originally buy it to flip it, it was meant for play.

Before the advent of adapters and quick change shafts I remember buying a driver or two, knew even after a few practice swings on the range it wasn't going  to work for me. Threw it in the bag anyway, hit about 2 fairways with it and sold it with a week to a buddy. Ball don't lie neither does the shaft. ☺

Years ago bought one of these in the morning. Played 18 holes.  Went straight back to the store after the round to return. Owned it less than 8 hours.

Loved loved SIM, but when I got the Sim 2 Max (from TM) all it took was one range session. HATED the sound a feel. Sent it back to TM.  Sadly that was the last TM driver I've owned.

Yep, me too. The last one cost me $400! I like to think I've learned my lesson, but probably not...

Completely disassemble it, reshaft, regrip, re-swingweight, and give it a new sole grind before having possession of it for more than 24hrs?  'Bout once a week.

Cobra One Length irons.  In for two rounds then out for months, they went back in awhile ago and lasted one round.  Time to trade them back to CPO, the magic of the first two rounds isn't coming back.

LAB DF2.1. Feels so easy to swing and good on short putts.  Used for three rounds and just not for me.

Taylormade Rocketbladez (black and yellow) irons. First hole has water on the left. Hit a draw to front of the pond. 3 shots to a green 80 yards away. 3 plunks into the water. Refused to pull an iron for the next 8 holes. Took pics in the parking lot, on eBay when I got home. 1 hole. 
 

Now o have bought and sold clubs I never hit, but just to flip them.

Ping Tyne 4 Putter. 15 holes

 

Had an itch for something different and I saw this cheap. Played my first round with it and 3 putted both Par 5s on the front (Both bogeys) then on the Par 5, 15th I got on in 2 to 12 feet. Told my buddy if I 3 putt again, I'm ditching it. I 4 putted for Bogey and I put it in my Buddy's bag, and it's somewhere in his basement.

 

I shot 81 that day. Still chasing that sub-80 round

I really wanted to like it but I four putted a tough green during my first round with it. 
 

tried two more rounds, couldn’t get that out of my head.

Wanted the JPX 923 Tour for over 6 months, finally got my hands on a decently priced used set and it lasted all of 45 min on the range.

White Hot Rossie S when they came out a couple years ago. Fine on the putting green and after 7-8 holes a guy I play with a lot said "you need to get rid of that putter." I already felt the same and that was that.

Srixon zx5 mkii gap wedge…gamed it for like 3 rounds before I realized it just wasn’t a performer. Way too chunky and wasn’t giving the distance I needed. Sold it easily

My new Toura blades. Amazing irons, but not noticeably better than my Haywood's, so I didn't need to spend the money and will likely lose a bit on the resale. But I really like the shafts, so I might put those in my Haywood's. 

 

I will play a few more rounds before selling them, but I really don't need them, nor have a real use for them.
