I had never seen a Musty Pebble Beach lefty putter and I saw one while my wife and I were staying at Spanish Bay. One of the guys that I know at SB told me to try putting with the putter and I was surprised at how well I putted with the putter. I showed the putter to my wife the next day and she told me to buy the putter so I did. I hope that you and the Mrs. are doing well and I hope that they can get that fire out soon!!

I have been looking for one of these for a LONG time. I have seen and owned / own a few Newport 'Sole Stamps' over the years, but have rarely come across the Newport 2 model. In fact I have often wondered if the NP2 version were far fewer in number - I would love some info on actual numbers if anyone knows.

This one is a GIP beauty I obtained from a Japanese collector. The head was vacuum sealed, which is not uncommon in Japan and really shows up the lovely single pass milling on the face.

 

For anyone unfamiliar with these putters; this is the model Tiger used to win the 1997 Masters. It generated such interest, that Scotty wisely moved the Teryllium 3 stamp (engraved actually, if you want to be picky) from the sole of the putter to the face where it could be seen. Obviously, this makes these original models more desirable. (There was originally a T2 model, but the movie people put the kibosh on it believe it or not.).

 

It has found a nice home down here with the rest of the 'relics'!

If you were into Odyssey putters, you just missed a sweet deal opportunity from Thanksgiving through Christmas.... Callaway/Odyssey (pre-owned web site) had the Black Friday deal for Wedges, fairway woods, and putters.... "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" , and with the various conditions "Outlet, Like New, etc", I found an Odyssey Stroke lab Double Wide "like new" 35" and got my son an Odyssey Seven 38" putter, the two of them for $199.... and I think they even paid shipping over a certain $ amount. But I couldn't find a mark on either of them. The sales guy was great, even gave me a second deal that went beyond the sales date on a pair of Callaway adjustable 5- and 7-woods, Buy 1, Get 1 free, lol.

BB8 Wide. First carpet rolls at home have been sweet. Most toe hang I’ve ever experimented with to date, as I’ve always been more of a face-balanced guy, but I think this may be making its way into a 50/50 split with my Studio Stock #3.
