I disagree, I love the 3 piece ball, I've not noticed any distance loss over any other ball, usually play the K sig 4 piece, Pro V1 and Srixon Z star. Have hit numerous drives over 320 with it, as has my stepson. No ballooning, no distance loss, just a great value ball.

Is the bathtub made out of $100 bills or filled with them? If it is made out of $100 bills, I'd complain too, because how the hell are you going to use any of the bills if they glued together to hold the shape of the tub? If it's filled with $100 bills, well, then there'd be no complaining.

You're lucky the ball you like is basically the cheapest ball on the market and also almost always available. Not everyone is so fortunate.

> Too soft? At 106 compression, for example a ProV1 is 104. Wouldn't say it's soft at all.

I dunno...to each their own. I play the original kirkland signature (black box/4 piece), and have tested the TP5x, ProV1x, Snell MTB-X, And Bridgestone RX. To me (and this is my opinion, as I don't have a calibrated testing machine in my possession), the kirkland performance silver box balls felt mushy and didn't go anywhere. I actually played a round where I tried the silvers, played like crap, and then switched back to on of the two black box balls, and everything came back. And that was in the PM, and the same morning, I played an entire round on a black box ball, and played fairly well.

Again, that being said...it's between the ears. No sir...I didn't like it. Not one bit.

Well, they are completely different balls. The old one is no longer on the USGA list, the new one is on the list under its own name.

So yes, they are different. Who knows, you might like the new one better!

> Darn it! I've been monitoring this thread almost daily while waiting for the new KP1. Then I don't log on for two days and boom, the KP1 is released and sold out. Now I'm going to have to monitor this thread twice daily so that I get an order in when they return. And we all know that they will return.

Are you a Costco member? I am and got an email from Costco saying the new balls were available. I ordered immediately.

Or, they could be great, and hard to get again, like the first generation of the 4 piece. With Costco's return policy, there's literally no downside.
