Last Year: Despite shooting a one over par 71 on Sunday, Rickie Fowler picked up his 4th win on the PGA Tour. Morgan Hoffman and Gary Woodland tied for 2nd, 4 shots back of Fowler at 8 under par. Wesley Bryan was the 36 hole leader of the tournament, but a 2 over par weekend ended his chance for the title. Jhonattan Vegas shot a final round 64, aided by an ace on the 15th to vault him into the top 5.

Ha I have never heard it called a dump. It is a fantastic course.

I went to the Pro-Am Yesterday. It was very windy. I basically hung out at 16 green and watched the players putt. Then would walk across the stands to watch the player tee off on 17. Literally stood 15 feet away and above them. I really got an appreciation for the windy condition. 190 yard par 3 over water and a two club right to left wind was what the flags gave. I thought it was more swirling above. Saw several balls in the water and heard some pretty foul language.

Course is nice. Resort rooms are dumps. Not a Motel 6 or Super 8 dump. Just not what I would expect for a resort.

If Rory gets out of his own head on the greens I think he can win here. Has good history at the Honda

The Greens Keeper was having problems with the greens. They put liquid fertilizer on them to get them green. Look painted. They were on number 9 around 4:30 when we were leaving measuring the stimp of the greens. My son asked me what I thought they were running at so I told him to go ask them. They told him they were able right now to have them running all the same and were all over the place. In the morning they were running at 12 and at 4:30 they were at 11. He said they weren't running the same from green to green either.

 

The rest of the course was in beautiful shape despite the Amateurs in the Pro-Am Chunking the fairways up.
