I mean..why wouldn't you test it first with your proven shaft that you're comfortable with in the HZRDUS yellow??

SO, update: I tried the F9 vs my Ping G400 LST today at PGA Superstore using a TP5x. I was once again very impressed with the F9, it stood toe to toe with the G400 and even gave me slightly lower spin #'s on average. Without even being custom fit for it it was right there distance and ball speed wise. If I didn't already have the Ping I would be shopping these right now.

I’m in same boat as you. I have the LST and tried the F9. It’s so close even that if,like you, I didn’t have a new driver the F9 would be way to go for me.

They both performed the same plus or minus a few shots. Not enough to shell out 600+ after shaft upgrade. I’ll just stick to ol reliable Ping.

I’m not discounting the F9 at all. It is a great feeling and performing driver. I personally didn’t see a difference between what I have now. It is a good driver for this year.

I had a look/waggle at these in a shop the other day. The driver head looks great at address, and the yellow isn't so bad in person. The white looks pretty sweet though.

The fairway woods look GREAT. Definitely worth a try if you're in the market, and don't want to drop 350-400 on a new wood.

I hit 44.5" farther than 45.5". I was going to order last night but there was no loft box and I don't want 10.5 which is what was in the pic. 44.5" is like being stranded on a desert island with mary anne.

For a different loft you will want to call Cobra directly, or go through a vendor.

I am the same boat, since I want a white head and 9.0 tour length. I contacted them via email and got a reply below from Cobra.

This may already be out there,

But can someone compare the Atmos TS Black VS the Smoke?

Are the fairly similar in feel & playability?

I got the smoke in mine but now I’m starting to have second thoughts.

See my post a few back. Not much in it for me, although I am still relatively rusty in the early part of the year.

...I hit the F9 first with the Fuji Atmos shaft in stiff set @ 9*. Weights were set 14g front, 2g back. Strikes felt good and it was carrying 255yds no problem with a swing speed of 104mph and spun it around 2500mph. My normal shot is a slight left to right fade, which this did no problem. Off-centre hits still carried a good 240yds which is encouraging for speed across the face. Sound was great but again, that is subjective and would never put me off from buying a club. Dispersion was ok, but I’d put this down to my swing and strike, not the club or shaft.

Then tried the F9 with the Hzrdus smoke in stiff. Similar numbers to the Atmos and dispersion was quite similar, perhaps a bit tighter. A couple of extra yds but nothing spectacular.

I can't compare it to the smoke, but I can compare it to the hzrdus black - to me the Atmos was very telephone pole like with very little feel, perhaps the least amount of feel from any shaft I've tried (I've tried a lot). It has the stereotypical Fujikura dead-feel. The Hzrdus black I played was tipped an inch in 6.5 flex and had more feel to me than the Atmos Black in X flex, but was still very stout. I like sturdy feeling shafts with a hint of flex/feel...so shafts like Hzrdus, non EvenFlo T1100, Kuro Kage XD etc etc.

The smoke might be totally different than hzrdus black..not sure.

Just checked the Cobra site and they have the white one now in the tour length with all the options for shaft and loft.

It really shows that everyone’s feel and boardieness perspectives are different. I for think the Atoms shafts feel great and whipping through the hitting area and the hzrdus boardy or dead.

Thats why I went Atmos Blue in Regular flex. Plenty stiff for me too.
