I hit a 3 iron off the tee on 18 that missed way toeside and it flew high and honestly went a shocking long way. It is dry on our course. So it rolled for sure. Toe misses don’t feel dead like an old blade. Not at alll.

> Hey. It’s about 5 acres of ****. Lol. It has been 95 plus for 3 weeks and no rain. So yep. It’s in decline. But it’s Bermuda , soon as it rains on it, it will try to take over the world again. I’m glad it’s dead. I don’t have to cut it this week.

> In other news. Just came off the course form a 19 hole match. This is the best set of irons I’ve owned. Easily the quickest transition of any club ever . Very impressed with how easy it is to get that little 3/4 yard sizzle sounding draw to just fall left. Previous set would hang that shot out straight a lot of times. Let’s you get at some in between yardages by giving you 3-4 more carry. Turf interaction is perfect too.

Destiny dude. You were never meant to have anything but the blueprints at this time. You would have chosen these anyways. It all worked out

> I hit the demos yesterday finally. And I gotta be honest, I think I may be the weakest ball striker on WRX because I am not 100% sold on them for me. Great strikes with 7i were jaw droppingly good...good strikes were really good. However, I had too many shots that made me doubt my skill level (I hit a lot...great to start, deteriorating results, then finished with a string of solid shots after I slowed down and focused on contact). Now, my iBlade 7i is 3/4” longer than the demo, I hate MCC grips, and I dislike all shafts other than std Dynamic Gold. So the demo iron is definitely not set up for my success.

>

> So...I’m still thinking 7-W to match my iBlade specs. I’m sold on bagging 8-W in Blueprints, but the 7 iron and maybe 6 iron are tempting me. I want nothing to do with 2-5...hit some great shots with the demo 4, but love iBlade in 3-5 iron.

Okay...I hit the Blueprint a little more today (I work at a golf shop), and now I am 100% in for 7-PW and maybe even 6 if I'm feeling saucy when I place my order. The feel is unreal and I love the consistency in distance. Placing an order on Monday. Very excited!

So these bump the Baby Blades from the top spot?

Mine arrived today and I managed to get a few late afternoon holes in. First impressions count, and these blew me away. I have always played blades but this season started to tinker with players CB irons (Apex Pro 19 Dots to be specific). Last year I flip-flopped between Miura Baby Blades and P730s.

These feel better than the P730 and actually look better than both the Miura's and the TMs. Slight toe hits were not really punished in terms of distance loss and they feel fantastic!!! No doubt the honeymoon period will come to an end but I think these may be keepers; certainly enjoying them at the moment.

I do have a question for others who have these - are you pairing Glide forged or Glide 2.0 wedges with them. The reason I ask is that I have both and whilst I love the Glide Forged I'm having to play a 50/56 bent to 52/58 setup because of the amount of offset and lack of bounce in the forged. The Glide 2.0 actually seem to transition better visually from the Blueprint wedge.....

Interested in others opinions.

Just came off the course. Irons never missed a beat. Easily smoothest transition of any club I’ve ever had. > @jblough99 said:

Well. BB were never my top choice. But they were #2. But to answer realistically. Yes. This set is basically a tungsten toe plugged BB with a Milled face , and cheaper price tag. This iron is slightly bigger In the long irons heel to toe. But that’s like saying a 6ft2 man is taller than a 6ft 1 man. Sure.

If you handed me a set of both side by side I’d chose blueprint. And that will cause problems with some folks here. But I’m being honest.

I have glide forged 54 and 60 and love them. I also have a glide 2.0 SS 50 degree gap wedge that I haven’t put into play. But in practice I like it a lot. Bigger head. Great feel. I’d use it like a pitching wedge. Haven’t decided on my best setup yet. Gap wedge add and drop 3 iron and 5 wood for 21 degree 410 hybrid or 5 wood 3 iron and 54-60? The latter is what I’ve played thus far with these irons. To me the deciding factor is ease of partial shots with the set pw and the gaps and tee distance with 5 wood 3 iron 4 iron and 3 hybrid. I’ve got to do some thinking on that.

I'm wishing you good luck and positive waves on that. ;)

My employer has a program where I may trade sick leave hours to reimburse fitness activities. In their infinite wisdom, one of the things they will reimburse is golf club purchases. I mention this for any who might have the option to pursue something similar, and may not realize it... (probably pipe dream, but hey, can't hurt)
