I'll choose the 2020 Masters, because we already know what happened in those earlier tournaments. Great shots are hit in every tournament, and seeing them in real time is really special. Besides, time travel is impossible for the moment, and maybe forever.

I have to say the 2019 masters

im only 30, but I’ve essentially lived through Tigers entire career. I started watching him in 97 and still follow today. Watching him win this year was a culmination of everything, and so much bigger than golf. It brought a tear to my eye, and I have my son a hug as well.

huge win, and the aura of EVERYONE chanting TIGER, TIGER, TIGER gave my chills. I can still hear it.

Nicklaus conceding THAT putt in 1969 Ryder Cup

Europe's first Ryder Cup win in 1985

Wood's 2000 US Open

These are just a few off the top of my head.

 

However when I first read the thread title my initial thought like many was the 86 Masters and Nicklaus' win.

My natural inclination would be to say '86 Masters or '08 U.S. Open. But I saw both of those live on TV.

 

Since I love Ben Hogan I would go with the 1950 U.S. Open at Merion. 16 months after the car accident that nearly took his life.

I was at Pebble that year and with Woods so far ahead after Saturday's round, people trying to sell Sunday passes at the exits couldn't give them away. Vividly remember people asking $15 and getting no takers.

I'd like to add the final day of the 2011 Masters. Watching that event on tv was amazing, but to be one the grounds of Augusta while it was taking place would've been something else.

I walked with Tom Watson for the final round 1981 Masters, which was a huge thrill.
