Lowest lofted wedge in your bag?

Currently I am rocking a 46, but have recently been debating removing my 9i and getting a 43 degree wedge...... Whats you lowest lofted wedge you use?

Just picked up Cleveland CBX irons with a 44 PW.?

I bent a 46 Vokey SM4 to 48 for the next club down. So it's 48/10. Then SM6 54/10 and Cally md2 60/14.

Hit a bucket today and those lofts should cover everything short nicely.

My 718CB PW is bent 2 strong to 45. I then go with Vokeys 50, 56, 60.

The term "wedge" is ambiguous because there is no standard of what a wedge is; it's just an abrutary designation depending on the marketing department of the iron set manufacturer.

When I started playing a PW was 50 degrees for example, and now it's 45 or even lower. The classic loft creap that gets discussed so much here.

Personally, I like to continue with the iron set clubs (including "wedges") up to 50 degrees. Then I switch to more classic wedges. So I'd say my lowest true "wedge" is 55 degrees. PW and gap wedge don't really count.

Two seasons ago I found the 46* PW and 50* AW were interchangeable for partial shots.

So, I switched to 48*, 54*, 60*. Just recently, I dropped the 60* in favor of the 58* (see below).

Yeah I agree, I have a iron set that goes 21 degrees to 54 degrees. I've had several sets like this and what different OEM'S call wedges changes all the time. My Ping Eye2 that would be 2 wedges (50 degrees being the lowest)

My G410 it's 44-45 degrees with basically the same overall lofts

My lowest lofted non-set wedge is 55 degrees.

I agree with Nessism. My first set of quality golf clubs, back in the early 80's. They were a set of Hogan Apex. The equilizer or pw was 52*. Now in my ie1's the pw is 45* and then my u wedge is 50*, but they seem more like irons then wedges.

Lately I have been finding myself only having to hit my 46 and 60 degree. The 52, 56 I havent been using that much..... Kind of interesting.

PW @ 47. (S55 1 degree weak). Works well with a 52, 58 setup.

Maybe ambiguous but still have to account for yardages amongst and in between. Set wedges definitely count because they matter. Unless you ditch them.

46 degrees for me, followed by 50, 54 and 60 (although I am going to have the 54 bent to 56 on Saturday). Not really for the loft purposes but to get another couple of degrees of bounce on there.
