Mine came in at 195 although to be fair I did not specify any custom work. A little lead tape brings it up to 200 which is where its pretty happy.

I love how it sounds on the course, that dead/muted sound to me is absolutely perfect.

Is that a heavier weight than normal on the back or do you think they added hot melt to the head?

Assuming you ordered directly from TM, did you specifically ask for a certain head/swing weight or did they just add weight to the head to get it back to "standard" (D3/4) swing weight since you ordered it down 1 inch.

I always add weight to mine as well, which is my point. I don't want to have no way to add my desired weight, other than a lead tape mess all over my club. I like the manufacturers, like Titleist, etc, that have weight kits so I can add as much, or as little as I desire in a very quick, clean, and efficient process. When I drop big $$$ on a brand new driver with an upgraded shaft I don't want it looking like a mess on day one. Just not my thing......

I have my SIM MAX 10.5 with Tour AD VR 6S. I had multiple driving sessions and 2 rounds of courses.

Really easy to address and feel so soft when hitting the ball.

My SS is around 105mph and furthermost I hit was 265yd which is my best distance. And I wasn't trying to hit it hard.

So far better feel and performance than my previous driver, M5.

Really starting to groove it now with the Sim max with my old tensei PO70TX. Most impressive part is the forgiveness IMO. I battle a goat hump and had a really bad swing square off the heel that still went 260 just barely cut off the fairway. Pured drives are as long as anything I've hit this year. Two 305+ this morning in sub 50* weather.

My SIM driver was weighted properly for the requested 45.25" playing length. My back weight is 15g.

They def are. My and my buddy's max ordered shorter than standard came with 20g rear weights (which is more than 20g by my scale)

I guess some of you lucked out but I ordered mine only 1/4” short and it was way too light and the head weighed 195 grams. I called TaylorMade yesterday to ask if a specific SW could be requested and they said “NO, they will try to get it back close to stock SW”. I still don’t understand why they wont let consumers request certain SW. I’ve been a TM guy for years but that’s ridiculous that they can charge $550 for a driver and not even give you the SW you request. Edit...won’t even LET you request a SW.

So my max 10.5 at 45” and the smoke green 6.5 70g is so good I don’t even know if I want to bother with the ventus black.

i have it adjusted to 8.5* loft and man. Launches to east and just flattens out and GOES!

is there a big difference in the way the ventus and the smoke green play?

have an m4 but just got sim max. Seems a much different sound, it appears to be as forgiving if not a little more but just seem to centre strike the sim a lot more. Obviously that’s me but the pairing with the ventus blue shaft is spot on for me

Ready to test this weekend. No idea what the head weighs felt really light so added a 4 gram weight and feels much better. Going to compare vs my 8.5 M3
