Ping i59

For the first time in history, seems like Ping's irons are merky? i500, i210, iBlade, and Blue print all sot of overlap? Like someone might be between iBlade and Blueprint or i500 and i210. Too many specific niches? wouldn't they be better getting down to like i500 and BluePrint? Solid Blade and forgiving blade?

I mean every OEM has so many iron offering at the moment. Look at TM with their P Series (P7MB, P7MC, P7TW, P770, P790, P790TI) and Sim Series (Max and Max OS).

Can't see them getting rid of their best selling iron (i210) and just going with 2 players irons. I don't even like the i500 to be honest. The looks are on point but the feeling and response are lack luster compared to other player distance irons.

I can see them combining the i210 and iBlade, since I didn't see anything related to an i225 (direct i210 replacement) in their registrated trademarks.

As a reminder, we saw images of blueprints around Jan 2019, and couldn't buy them for 5 more months. It would surprise me zero if the i59 is roughly the size of the iBlade, and they "replace" both with it. They've clearly wanted to get rid of toaster-inserts.

So basically, it's real… the surprising part to me is that they haven't forced the takedown.

I would still bet on the pic to be non-authentic, that would explain the non-happening takedown. They sit in Scottsdale, AZ and have a good laugh 😂

If these are valid (and I am of the mind they are not, or Ping would of had the pics removed), I wonder if they are the replacements for the Blue Prints.  When the BP's were first introduced, it was rumored to be tour only or very limited release.  Maybe they were just a proof of concept that they would receive market acceptance and the i59's will move them more towards the playability goal.

Cannot see them replacing the i Series.  The Eye 2's put the company on the map and the i series have been the spiritual successor ever since.

I don't know Fore. The G series have been Pings biggest seller since the G2 was launched in 03. But I agree with you, the I series ain't goin' anywhere.

Just to clarify earlier comments… I'd expect the iBlade to "come off the board", but the Blueprint stays. The Blueprint will probably stay up for new sale for 2-4 more years as-is. But when its run is over, it'll be interesting to see if it gets replaced. I think the iBlade/cavity-ish thing is over, and this is going to be their premier club… but the BP is still that "secret" one that they offer if you "know".

From a marketing perspective, their i210 is going nuts on all the pro circuits. Countless LPGA bags, and in the hands of the ET winner. I just can't see them investing too much effort into keeping two separate lines in the "more difficult to strike than an i210" range.

Someone can jump in and correct this, but don't the iblade/bp sales make less than 10% of iron sales for Ping?

TXG said on the latest live that there is no i210 replacement coming.

Maybe they stay unchanged given how hot they are right now. Several months of backorder isnt bad for club that i about two years old. COVID might slow production but it seems the i210 never  was hotter than today

We know 210 isn't in this cycle, mostly because the updated trademarks you'd expect to see aren't there. Specifically, there is no "i225" trademark.

It would be shocking for them to stop selling these new. The iBlade came out when, 2016? 5 years is a long run. It's been a great iron, but that's the one that'll be "done".

They have a bunch of unreleased trademarks on the website like iBlade 2.0, i59, i525, Glide 4.0, Glide Forged 2.0 and Glide Forged Pro...but no i225.

I had my pro ask our rep directly about this image. He laughed it off and said it was fake. Now he could be telling us that to throw us off but he is usually very open about things. He said you'll know when something is coming because we will let you see it in the bags of our pros for testing.

Weren't the i500's first spotted that way?  I think I remember some on course pictures for staff testing and at the time the spot where 'i500' is stamped looked to have been milled out to hide the branding.

Take it for what it's worth from from what I trust as reliable source the pic is not fake but it is very much a prototype so what ends up coming to retail may or may not resemble it at all.

Sounds like we won’t be seeing Ping’s new lineup until the summer, so it really depends on if you’re set on getting new irons before the spring season.

You could be waiting a while for the i59, I'd say later summer/fall possibly. The i210 are also on a  order delay as well, but will definitely be worth the wait.

Also, as commented by Karstens_ghost and others, the i59s are not necessarily replacements for i210 but perhaps for iBlades so they will likely play differently than the i210s.
