Current best swing in golf

It's probably the obvious Rory/Scott/Louis as those are the swings other pros seem to envy.

Also, someone earlier in the thread claiming Rory isn't an excellent driver of the golf ball. That's a pretty harsh judgement on someone who is in top 3 drivers of the ball in the last quarter century. This site is wild.

It’s Rory and Tiger for me. There is a reason they are the most successful players. Everything is pretty textbook. Both can play any shape or trajectory and it filters through to the short game.

There are several side by side comparisons of the two greats and they are very similar. Tigers current - late 2018 to now is as good as it’s ever been.

I guess I'm the only one that gets pure joy out of watching Matsuyama swing. I don't know what it is, but I love watching him hit the ball.

I really loved Payne Stewart. I've told this story on WRX before, but when I was in my teens, he played the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis and I was waiting near the driving range hoping for players' autographs. I asked him to sign a hat and he asked my name, so he signed it "To Nathan, All The Best! Payne Stewart". So, that was cool, but I got other signatures that day and didn't think much about it. Until a couple of days later, I saw him again and said hello. He said, "Hey, Nathan, how are you?" I was so impressed that he remembered my name that he automatically became my favorite player after that. Ha That and his swing was amazing. :)

To me, aesthetically speaking, head level is important during the swing. That's why Adam Scott's swing is more appealing to me than, say, Fleetwood's. Full disclosure, though: I have some head drop in my swing. Maybe that's why I can appreciate head level in a powerful swing. Lol

IMO one of the reasons people like Adam Scott's swing is that it is the Butch Harmon swing that TW HAD but left when he went to Hank and his body transformed into the bulked up version that we saw for a couple of years. AS meanwhile has not changed much physically as he has gotten older, he is still the same slender guy with excellent flexibility and able to make the same shoulder turn. His motion hasn't changed all that much...If you look at some of the all time greats like Snead, Tom Watson, and even a younger Jack N. the reason they had such great careers is that their bodies didnt change all that much so consequently neither did their swing..That is one of the things I admire about Tiger, his body has gone thru all sorts of changes, from being a skinny kid to a bulked up TW and then today's version. Its a shame that his body is not allowing him to execute the type of swing that used to come to him quite naturally on demand. It shows up rom time to time, but except for the Masters win and the Tour Championship it has deserted him

And as always, here’s the closest will ever get to a tiger and Jack side-by-side as Vijay’s swing was a position-by-position copy of jack...

And it should be noted That he became the best player in the world with Jack swing… The tiger was going through swing change at the time Vijay still one over $10 million in a single season with JackS swing…

Agree with this. It's becoming clear that being easy on the eye doesn't equate to the most effective swing. Louis swing looks great but he is not very consistent.

I like Rory's but I think Colin Morikawa has the best of the new generation.

That's a hard one these days with so many pure swings. Technically speaking, Adam Scott must be the swing for the books. Even though I love Rory's, his power and natural move through the ball. And present day Tiger is a joy to see, too.

Since some have gone down memory lane, guys like Seve, Tom Watson and Sam Snead are in the sanctuary of golf swings. And Nicklaus, oh, Nicklaus was as lethal as Tiger save the beauty.
