I have them in my 46 and 50, been great; spoke to Artisan and that's what they thought since I hit so many non full shots with the two wedges and it was a good step down from my irons.

I have S400 in my 55 and 60 - I never normally hit a full swing with these and the flight control is great.

I have not been swinging well these last two weeks so my wedges have been poor - I actually hit a full 50 down wind yesterday(30mph) and got an extra 30-35 yards with the wind - felt so weird to swing all out though with it. I do hit the odd full 46 though.

I'll hit full with my 52 on occasion. I say occasionally because I'm a high spin guy and full swing with the 52 usually leads to moon shots that come up short. I feel like an X7 or 7.0 would be too much in my 60 but for the other two I'm strongly considering it. I don't use my 52 around the green and the 56 sparingly.

I'll have to give them a run and see what they do.

For what it's worth I used to play X100's and I had 6.0's in my wedges and the 6.0 felt less smooth but more stable than the X100's TI's

I wonder if the bend profile is different which leads to the lower launch spin or if it's the same profile of px just stiffer.

Supposed to be very similar to the Project X flighted model

Good information put out out by True Temper on their PX LS shafts in their YouTube channel. Have never seen EI profiles or bend profile descriptions from True Temper. The variable tip section in the LS might be why these shafts may play more like a flighted set and feel less harsh at impact VS standard PX.

The number of Wrx members using stiffer than DJ and Bryson seems to grow by the week.

It is possible to have the same amount of speed as them but also release it early/ not as well and create too much spin requiring stiffer.

Totally! I'm no pro lol. I said something a while back about this sort of thing. I swing  X7's, and my swing is definitely not on par with theirs. But as my swing gets better I entertained the thought of going back to X100's (TI) because I wouldn't be creating enough spin with the X7's.

Anybody have any real word comparisons between the PX and LS but in a softer flex? I currently play the PX in 7.0 but thinking about going to the LS in 6.5 to save a little weight.

I play PX 6.5 in my irons but have a spare 7 iron I put a 6.5 LS in for a few weeks. Basically threw a bunch of balls down and hit a ton into greens between the two. I think the reg PX probably peaked just a few yards higher and flew a few yards further. Spin was about the same as far as both balls staying a foot or so from the ball marks on softer greens. I was no fan of the feel of the LS and was expecting a bit lower spin and few yards extra distance but didn't pan out on course. Never tested them on trackman. My driver ss is 120-122 and I'm a fairly high spin player that hits it high so was hoping for better results with the LS. LS was really similar to the X7 for me just the obvious weight difference.

How much difference is there between the 6.5 and 7.0 besides weight?

Mizuno doesn't offer 7.0, and 6.5 is no upcharge so don't want to pay the difference if they're similar.

Could hardstepping the 6.5 twice be a good compromise? Is three times ridiculous?

I am normal PX and I have 6.5 in my 2 iron, 46 and 50. and 7.0 in 3-9 - Playing the shots I don't notice for full swings due to the swing weights being built to spec. 5g is the way of making it stiffer. Only thing I would say is that with the wedges when hitting lesser shots they do feel better than with the 7.0.

Does anyone have experience with the LS 6.0 compared to the IO 6.5? EI profiles seem nearly identical from the below picture. I was fitted into IO 6.5 but mizuno doesn’t seem to offer this from OEM but they do carry the LS 6.0.

6 iron swing speed with the 6.5 IO was ~93 mph, fastest was 96. Spinning ~5500.

For those that play either the 6.0 LS or 6.5 LS, can I ask what your iron swing speed is? Would plan to get fitted but just curious. Thanks!

It has been awhile since anyone posted about this shaft.  Anyone still playing it?  I played c taper s+, then went to project x 6.5, steelfiber 125, and now playing modus 125x.  I was probably most accurate with the project x shafts.  If I could cut just a little spin and keep that dispersion, these would be perfect.

I’m back on the the PX wagon again. I’ve been playing the modus 125x for the last couple years due to elbow pain. I ordered a set of mizuno 225s with the LS 6.5 and have been so happy with the dispersion! I know back when I have a set of 718cb irons with these shafts it was amazing how much straighter I hit them vs the other shafts I tried in them. I was thinking about putting a set of modus 125s in my 225s but don’t want to change a thing with them. So far so good with no elbow pain. Just throwing darts! Loving the LS!

I love my ls iron shafts. My only complaint is that I should have went 7.0 instead of 6.5 but at the time my swing needed the softer flex. These shafts are so much better than the std px offering in terms of feel.

I'm looking to do a comparison between the 6.5 ls and the new la golf l series shafts here soon if anyone is interested

This is great to hear, as I still can't figure the Modus 125x out.  Some times I'm not sure if they are low spin or more mid spin.

The modus 125x is going to be my fall back shaft for sure. I have a set on stand by if need. I feel they are somewhat in between low and mid spin. I do absolutely love that shaft.

wonder why  many pga/euro tour players play the 120 and not the 125

For me the 120 is  not linear and had a distinct  kick not something tour players would want?

I felt when I played project x I had an easier time flighting them or hitting lower shots.  I like the modus 125, but feel like sometimes they can balloon on me.

I've hit 6.5 ls before dont have any data but it feels softer than the original. You could always pick a lighter shaft and tip as needed and ream the hosel if you need. Been playing tour v 125 tipped 1" for a while and i think it's a little stiffer than the set of la golf texas rebar tx 6 flex that i have.

Yeah, I have tried them. They are stiff but manageable. I just got some steelfiber 125X shafts I am installing to try. My first steps into composite iron shafts. Curious how it will go. Trying sight unseen.

Just installed the 6.5 soft stepped into my 3i. Is it me or does these look and feel like C taper ?

Just what I wanted to hear. Looking for a C-Taper replacement. I have 6.5 LS in a demo 7i, and the handle feels firmer than a C-Taper. Did soft-stepping it give you just a bit more handle flex?
(Actually, looking at the EI curve, I wonder if hard-stepping a 6.0 once or twice might actually be the way to go...? Since the handle is engineered a little softer than classic PX, the more handle you can give it by hard-stepping, the softer that grip end may feel?)
