Beyond MAD. At the length and swingspeed, he's better off with a more forgiving head, DARE I even put out here a 5.5* Ping-G400-Max 😅. Plus BDC opts for a light weight head, the lighter the better with an intention to swing it faster. 16gm of weights at the front would not make any head light, I don't think... we shall see.

Ok, I'll stop now.

Seriously, RAD is awesome. It was one of the best 80s movies ever made and now it will be a great driver.

I've been more or less a reader of the forum, as obvious from my low post count, but reading this particular thread has me intrigued.  Is everyone really that concerned with the color scheme on the bottom of a driver? I totally understand wanting to have a high level of confidence when looking down at the driver and addressing the ball, but would the color scheme and branding on the bottom of a driver really be a deterrent from purchasing? Genuinely curious...

Unfortunately, there are some who care more about how a club looks in the bags or on the shelf, rather than how they perform. And please for the love of golf don’t get them started in offsets in irons 😂. Just a vanity thing I guess.... I always give cobra drivers a fair shot because they always seem to perform just as well as others. Plus they usually always have a more subtle color way in their line up.

Some do. Regardless of how a club plays from a retail perspective how a driver looks on the bottom really matters. It is the first thing potential buyers look at..

These look great from the top, Cobra is getting very good at being ping like. In that they make small adjustments every year to improve. This year it is going to be great with the stock shaft offerings and a design that will lower the spin i think pretty dramatically. For me, that was the drawback of the F9 and SZ.

I wonder if it will sound more like the F9? I love my SpeedZone, but I preferred the sound of my old F9.

To be fair the colour lime green has been clinically proven to damage the human retina, so it's not surprising there has been some negative feedback.

Agreed. I have both and I love both! I have never hit any head better. However the F9 sounds so much better than the speedzone. However the speedzone strickly delivers. I find it a touch more forgiving than the F9. However I could game either one and not lose a beat. I love cobra and think Ill hold pat this release.

I think that Mavrik sales are a good example of this. I love the Mavrik and it performs really well for me, but many people never even gave it a shot because of the looks and color scheme.

If it's not Black/White - It doesn't matter what color the heads are, people will find a way to hate it. From GREEN Epic Great Big Bertha and now to ORANGE Mavrik. I have the Epic Flash and I like the color but Mavrik is a lose, lose to me because it's not the color but it's LACKS of adjustability with the weight (compared to my Epic Flash). Same when Rogue came out and I had the Epic GBB. However, at least Callaway gives you option to choose another color with the Custom 👍

I definitely agree with you! It is like the staff event shirts that look like a highlighter has been used to dye them. But what I was also referring to was not to give up, because they usually offer a more subdue color beside the flagship model. Thanks

I agree with most others. I don't care what color scheme is on the bottom of my driver. That being said, as far as cobra goes & they again offer a choice of colors I'll opt for the less colorful version.

I think from a marketing standpoint OEM's try to produce something eye catching & unique so when tour pros are on TV & you see the bottom of the driver on the back swing you know exactly what driver they're using.

Yeah, I've said a few times that the other color scheme is Red and Blue.

The 'Turbo Yellow' is kinda growing on me tho.

They only have three players on tour. Not that hard to tell who is using their stuff.

Me too!  It will be interesting to hear if they are planning to release the 48 inch BAD version he plans on playing at the masters.
