Really used to like you Rick until this jealousy inspiring post. Owning a healthcare company, COVID has dramatically increased revenues while dramatically decreasing rounds. Have probably had no more than 5 weekday rounds and maybe 3 Sunday rounds.  Guessing 40 in total which is down 50% from last year.

In a normal season (March- November), I play 180+ rounds. But this year, I didn’t start playing until May and only played 126 rounds. Only one month left in the season so I doubt I’ll add much to the total, maybe another 10 rounds because it is getting too cold to play...

My husband works full time and has been more busy this year due to covid, he only played 39 rounds so far. 

I am usually the one who plays enough golf to make our golf membership worth it.

As a fellow healthcare company (pharmacy OTC brands) owner I hear ya.  Sales are great now but we were down 70% in April and May up here ... people were not leaving the house

the course is now open an extra week until Nov 8 .... with the late start I think they felt the members deserved some small concession ... round count record will improve

I just took a look at my count of handicap rounds, when adding a few practice rounds not posted, looks to be around 44 or 45.  That doesn't count 9 hole league rounds that I haven't added up.

 

Disappointing to see the number.  It felt like I'd played more than that.  My wife changed jobs (started working weekends) and we sold our lake place, gave me more golf opportunities.

 

Downside was being more busy at work, kept me from getting in much Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon golf.

I got 12 rounds in, but I only played from August until now. My goal is 6 rounds a month next year at minimum. If I continue to work from home next year (I hope) then I will get at least 6 a month just during the week.

Handicap posting ended Oct 31st up here and as it should be, I have shot two 1 under 71's in the last 3 rounds

It's so much fun to take cash of my buddies.  Though sometimes it is safer to suck, the needling is pretty harsh afterwards, but all in good fun.  We had sixteen guys sitting around a bonfire dividing up $320 in half shot skins

I will be down about 35 to 40 rounds this year. Partly due to missing 5 weeks or so during the shutdown but also because too many new bodies at our course. We have about twice the membership we should. I'm just waiting for this vaccine to come along so we can these people back to wherever they came from.

I finished the year with 95 rounds posted for my hdcp. Add in a few scrambles and team events and this is the most I've ever played. Hoping next year is even better.

I played 30 rounds from June 29th to November 29th. Going to start MUCH earlier this 2021 season as soon as the snow thaws, so should have a much higher number this upcoming year hopefully!

Just completed my first full year of retirement. 'Played 195 rounds on 143 different courses, with 92 new ones added to my growing collection. The shutdown of the courses in Illinois in March  and April derailed my hopes of hitting the 200 mark. 'Still very happy with the tally.

I just started playing again in September and I have played 36 rounds last year.

 

I was going to shoot for 100 rounds this year, but that might be a stretch. So 75 is my realistic goal. I joined a club, so rounds only cost gas and a cart.

 

Played yesterday to close it out, played today to start it off.

One of our guys texted this morning with "what time are we playing tomorrow?" Chicago just was hit with 4 inches of snow.

For me this year it was 15 rounds. Doesn’t sound like a lot but it was more than the previous 8-9 years combined. Also, because of COVID restrictions at work I was home way more than normal during the week which allowed me time to practice usually about 5 times a week.

Covid 2020 sucked but I carded 163 rounds and a gross club championship....... California weather, much of the State shut down but not the golf courses....

78 for me which is normal. I have buddies that play 5-6 times a week which is waay too much for me. I did have around 25 fishing days too so I do stay busy.

I finished the year with 181 full 18-hole scores at my home club along with 5 9-hole rounds where we couldn't go on because of the weather or we ran into a tournament and couldn't take the pace of play for another nine holes. I also played three 18-hole rounds at other courses. So, a total of 184 18-hole and 5 9-hole rounds for 2020, right about my average for a year since I retired in 2009.

Work is the curse of the golfing class (at least it was for this guy).
