Titleist TSi 2 & TSi 3 hybrids - American Express 2021

Recommended Posts

As glorious as that TSi3 looks, there is substantial difference between ‘forgiving’ and ‘players’ models in hybrids.  Stand-by for a huge surplus of TSi3 hybrids on BST two weeks after release date when folks discover they can’t elevate them any easier than an equivalent GI iron...

The 3 is looking close in size to the new Apex Pro hybrid. The 2 looks similar in size to the Apex hybrid.

TSi3 hybrid looks really good. Last few models just sounded too tingy so I haven't went out and bought one as little as I use mine. Hoping these sound closer to the 816 since I prefer black over gray look from top. Only thing I'm concerned with all of the TSi3 series are the weight ports making it really hard to clean dirt out of. Just looks like they're all going to cake dirt in the cracks.

any idea of the lofts that will be available for the TSi3?

More than likely the same lofts as the model it replaces.

Whilst I agree that there is a difference, I don’t find that it is substantial but that is simply from my perspective which could easily be different to yours. I go between a 712U 3 iron and 915Hd hybrid and find the hybrid the easiest thing to hit ever.

I don’t have much trouble either up to 21 deg but I find it much easier to elevate the H1/TS2 models.  What I wish they’d do is go to 26ish degrees in the TSi3 so I could get the height without excess spin.  Not much market for old guy lofts in the smaller head unfortunately...

I was totally on team TSi3 until these pics and realized those are some DEEP faces.  The TSi2 looks a lot better in these pics than the others so I'm definitely going to have to wait until I can see and hit them in person.  My 818h2 is just about perfect so whatever replaces is will have to be amazing.  Some good looking hybrids out this year with the potential to unseat it.

mmkay, I'll hop on the unpopular side of this discussion: I think the TSi2 looks better. The small frame of the TSi3 is awesome, but I have never been comfortable with the squared off toe on the lower launching Titleist hybrids. The 2 looks like it should frame the ball nicely, and thankfully is not massive.

It's just the way it works with moi and spin. There's a reason why they are shaped like they are. I guess more are leaning towards the 3 because titleist hasn't been that dominant with a lower launch/spin hybrid.

still see guys on tour using the 816s i see no reason to upgrade since these clubs arent about pure distance.

The reason for that is titleist really hasn't made that great of a hybrid. The 818h2 was my first titleist hybrid. I'm curious to see what it has to offer since the drivers and fairways are impressive.

Have to see that Tsi3 in person, seems like the hosel is similar to the Ts3 which is what turned me off of it.

Tsi2 actually looks really nice.

Anybody know yet if there is any difference between the new TSi2 and the TS2 hybrid from last year other than cosmetic? From the one pic Titleist has released and these in hand pics it looks to be the same head shape so not sure if there's any new technology in the 2 (whereas the 3 has the new weight system). I liked the TS2 a lot because it was shaped like a mini fairway wood and sat straight at address, whereas the 818H1 before it looked super closed with a ton of offset. Leaning towards grabbing a TS2 now while they're on sale if the TSi2 is just new cosmetics.

Unless you specifically need 1 degree in difference, you can get an 818 in my opinion and have the same results.  For me, I liked the hybrid, but needed the extra few yards out of it.  So went with the 18 degree 5 wood.  I am hoping the 18 degree hybrid can be extra 5 yards of carry than the 19 of the past.  Then this will be replacing my 5 wood.

I think I'm gonna go in for a TSi2 in the 23* lofted down one and a TSi3 in the 25 lofted up one as a 5i replacement. Really wish they offered the TSi3 in the 27* but I understand that's a 6 iron for most these days and not that many people play 6 hybrids especially ones those small. What I love most about the TSi3 over the TS3/818H2 is there's a little less of that super square toe look on the front. I just don't like that look at all.
