Srixon Irons wait time.

Ordered mine 2/2.  Just before the Koepka win so I was thinking I might get lucky and beat most orders.  Got them with “exotic” modus 130 and they had a note exotic shafts will take a week or so longer than non -exotic. I was thinking a 2 week turnaround. Gave it two weeks and checked with customer service and they said they were waiting on the Lamkin grips and hopefully the following week they would be in and  shipped. Ok, no biggie. Checked back yesterday and they said the only hold up are the still the grips and now aren’t expected until late March.  I asked them to throw on any grips you have in stock and ship them.  They said they would.  I don’t want to hold up a $1600 order for six weeks on $60 grips.  A little annoying since I expected 2 weeks and it looks like it will be closer to five. They said the would overnight them free of charge. Still love Srixon though.

You were suggesting their site is currently telling people they'll ship custom in 4-6 days - it's obvious that currently they are out of stock and that won't happen.

So according to you it's perfectly fine to order 1/30 with no notice of anything being backordered or out of stock. Then be told 3 weeks later grips and parts to build clubs aren't available.  That's good customer service?  I ordered directly through Srixon.  There was no notification of anything being backordered.  

 

Guess everyone here is just an idiot except you.

What the heck?  If you're frustrated about your order that's understandable but don't take it out on me or put words in my mouth.  

 

You said their website was currently telling people custom orders would ship in 5-7 days, that's not the case, so be frustrated but accurate is all.

 

If you have an issue take it out on Srixon, not me.  I've only posted information I've received from them and accurately to try and be helpful in this and a couple of other threads and none of it with any attitude whatsoever.

I am glad I got my order in and delivered over a month ago, but snow has messed up grass time. Only hit on off indoor mat....   

 

Reading the post its pretty obvious the "tension" with the delays on parts and shipping issues.  I mean what are the odds of a train derails causing the delay ...LOL  

 

I know this is WRX and we are a demanding group, but I am sure they doing what they can like many.  Patience as they are well worth it.  *Thought I do agree seems F'd up to send partial sets????

 

IF you have no patience pm me as I have a set of 4-PW - 105 Stiff hard stepped for 2.5K I will sell 😃     JK

you posted a screen shot of something completely different than what I am talking about.  That only shows up when they are supposedly out of stock and cant take orders.  The front page also has this notification, and has been there for some time now.

Yes, the standard admonition about COVID, applies to all their products in general, been there forever.  Things with zx5, zx7 in particular have changed, context of my suggestion was accurate, yours was not, and the rant in my direction was uncalled for.  Hope you get your clubs soon.

It's amazing how you can call me out then act like a victim.  I didn't start this thread.  I am talking about what they said at time of order.  I don't care about the notification after they say they're out of stock.  Id have no problem if they communicated short or backordered inventory when I ordered.  Unbelievable you can't see what I am talking about.  I'm not here just bashing srixon.  I am however, like many others on this thread, frustrated with the inconsistency of their communication.

When I talked to a customer service rep last week he said hopefully by April they can get back to taking orders but don't hold my breath.

Got an update on my missing 7 and 8 irons. They said they should be getting more heads next week, and they hope to ship 2nd or 3rd week in March.

 

Ping also has been struggling with ridiculous lead times. Hard to get too upset about golf clubs considering everything.

I ordered a ZX7 5-P with PX LZ 6.5s on 2/10. Guy I ordered through told me Srixon quoted him 2 weeks but said it may take up to 4. 
 

Also ordered a P770 4 iron in January with a expected date of 3/15. I had it in hand for the first week of February. 
 

Talked to Srixon today via chat and they stated 3-4 weeks has been the standard turnaround for custom ZX7. You can still order through a dealer but expected delays will continue.

I'll take that as good news.  My dealer was quoted 4-5 weeks, but I'm sure it matters where you are, etc.  If they come in 3-4 (which by Monday will be 1-2) I'll be pleasantly surprised.  If they come when predicted no problem, if they are delayed beyond that they'll get here sometime. Traded in two sets of irons on these, but plenty more where those came from, lol, to get all muddy in the early spring with crap on the greens and everything else.  

 

I know some folks aren't enjoying getting partials, but at least I'm prepared for that now.  Going to be a great new golf season!!

I'm hoping all goes as planned on getting a full set. Though I'm not playing any golf in the northeast for at least a month. Biggest hangup would be the availability at the time of order. Personally assuming the worst and expected to have them sometime in late March based on everyones current comments for orders.

You guys that can’t play because of cold and snow should wait lol!  Those of us “in season” like in Arizona should ship first. This is killing me.  Had the z785 but when they got beat up went on an iron odyssey. Tried a Honma set and liked the heads but the Nippon 105 was too light for me. Then like @Hawkeye77 (if I recall correctly had elbow issues) broke my elbow and decided to try graphite shafts. But the bigger P790 head and Recoils is not working for me so back to Srixon I am going with the Nippon 125.

 

PS yes the first part was sarcasm....kinda.....maybe LOL. 🤔

No problem with triage in favor of those in warmer climes!  I did have tendonitis issues and frankly still do a bit even after surgery but it's a lot better for now. Luckily they had a Recoil 95 to hit with when I hit the zx7 - although I knew I needed stiff, I did try a regular just to see the difference and it was significant, so stiff was confirmed, so for me, same shafts I have now and the feel was great. Tried a much lighter graphite and that was a big no go, so at least I was able to do some comparisons, but steel is forever out for me.  I'd been using lighter steel (KBS Tour 90s) before the switch so it wasn't that big a difference, at least if I don't hit the ball close I can blame it on imaginary dispersion issues!

 

Quite the JG Wentworth vibe for some, lol, but hey, nothing more exciting equipment wise than getting new, shiny, forged perfection so tough to wait.

That sucks.  Mother Nature is teasing us, 23 below just a short time ago now 40s maybe 50s in the 10 day.  We'll just get the snow off the course and a nice 8-12 wet inches will come down.

Question now, is it the full set or just a partial? Box weight is 7.75 lbs.

Just go to your orders on the srixon page. It will say partially shipped if it is being piece mailed, if not your good.

70° when I played today. I canceled my ZX7 order after being told my order didn’t get in prior to Srixon not accepting orders. I’ll wait to they come back in stock and order again then. I don’t hate my 765s, I was just looking forward to some fresh grooves.
