Agree the top button needs to be undone, but other than that, an untucked shirt can be very stylish.

 

One caveat - the shirt needs to be made to wear untucked. If it is, it can be an attractive and comfortable option.

I'm an old traditionalist who thinks that golf has become a giant hypocritical stick in the mud.

 

Let's change from wood and steel to cryogenically processed ultra-exotic materials developed at Area-51 for golf shafts, space age Titanium and Cobalt waffle club head walls designed from machining nuclear cores during the Manhattan Project, balls made from a process found at the Roswell crash site that could possibly put tee shots into orbit (17,500 MPH) by a 95 MPH swing speed -- but limited on purpose to gradually increase distance so people accept each new iteration...

 

But not having your shirt tucked in is way over the edge and changing the game too much!

I hate tucking in my shirt. For years people at my club have given me grief about it, though to date i have avoided getting letters on the subject. I feel like the past year or so i started winning some people over who kind of understood that as has been mentioned, many shirts these days are designed not to be tucked in. 

 

It's a bit of a pain in the a** constantly adjusting your shirt after every couple of swings. And i've never understood why a tucked in shirt looks "better" than one of these newer shirts that is intended to not be tucked. It's not like it's hanging around your knees or anything. 

 

So i'm fully on board with this. And as more people convert to my side , i'll be more and more aggressive with those who yell at me, like i'll yell back at them "Hey buddy, i'll tuck you into my shorts!" or stuff like that. Those will be fun times

Okay, I think I've got a billion dollar idea here. I'll make a shirt that is worn untucked, but it has the image of pants that match the color of the wearer's pants on the bottom so it looks like it's tucked in, but it's really not. It's a set!

 

I need to find the idiots investors who sink millions every day in Uber and get a business plan in their hands. That's the kind of people you need to talk to for this.

I don't think it's a particularly good look for Bubba, but buttoned all the way up makes it even worse.

When I was a member at a private club you of course had to be tucked in, no jeans etc.  But if you wore a big baggy pair of pleated khakis and a wrinkled faded polo you were fine.  Point is slobs will be slobs no matter the dress code and often the untucked or jeans wearing guy will be neatly dressed.

I like Bubba's shirt/slack look, still very presentable for the cameras.  It's NOT a T-shirt or rumpled up golf-shirt that looks like he just crawled out of bed over wrinkled shorts.  It is similar to my Tommy Bahama shirts I wear with slacks. 

 

Like with so much "today", ya give idiots an inch they attempt to take a mile and have to be managed.

PGA pros have all just become shills for the manufacturers...though I'd do the same for the money they pay them.  It's like they're walking mannequins.

 

Gone are the days when someone stylish like Doug Sanders designed and wore clothing with no logos or signatures.  On the flip side, we rarely see an Al Czervik out there anymore...which is a shame..added some fun to broadcast.

 

Much worse are private clubs telling me I can untuck my shirt in the dining room but not on the course (very swanky Brentwood CC here in LA)...still can't figure that one out.
