What's your handicap and what 3wood are you playing?

I'm a plus. Probably +1. Haven't kept a true handicap since the world system change.

 

17m2 3wood. 

 

But I'm testing a sim2 ti...

+2.1 cap, Taylormade M3 HL set at 16.5 with a 70g KBS Category 4 TD.  Best club in my bag at the moment.  My back up is a Taylormade RBZ2 tour with an Aldila RIP Phenom.

Today I'm a 7.9 and I recently started playing a Ping G425 Max 14.5 3 wood with Tensei AV Orange 75 stiff,.

An 11 with an older Callaway something with a stock regular shaft. I had been struggling with my "nice and newer" 3 wood for months and tried a buddy's while on the course. He accepted a trade right then and there. Loved it since, and like above it's mine until it cracks..

About a 1. Playing a Sim ti with an old Diamana d plus. I may switch the shaft out soon though. Love the head too much to think about anything else.

+3.4 playing a sim with a tensei raw blue 85tx tipped 1.5 inches. 3 wood was always a problem slot for me but this combo has shown a lot of promise. Been chasing a 3 wood since my old nike covert 2.0 with a diamana blue board 103x broke.

What were you in before the sim ti?

Yeah OG sim ti. My 3 wood is a tour issue head in the standard setting which is 14.6 actual loft.

Every now and then I'll miss slightly left with my 17m2. Trying the sim2 ti so I can set the loft down a notch and help keep the face open to path a bit more. The 17m2 has been an absolute dream other than the occasional left shot...more a pull than anything else.

I can usually tell with a few balls of a 3 wood will work for me and I’ve been able to work it both ways and it’s long. I almost bailed on it since I was trying shaft but I had the tensei raw blue 85tx in my 5 wood so I got one for the 3 wood and I couldn’t ask for more

I'm the same. I play a 757 speeder evo2. I put an adapter on the backup shaft so I could compare the adapter 3woods from both sim lines. I didn't care for the OG sim ti. But the sim2 showed exact same launch monitor numbers as my 17m2 with basically the same flight at the lower loft. Plus, the sim2 has a CoG further back. It showed better control than OG sim ti.  

 

Recently put a 21* hybrid delofted a degree which got me thinking down this line.

8 handicap, SIM2 15* with a Ventus Velecore Blue 7X. Pretty much the closest thing to driver off the deck I’ve ever had in the bag.

Did you try the sim ti and sim.max and preferred the sim ti?

8.x currently.  Cobra King LTD 3w.  Currently using 8m3, but thinking of assembling an adapter with RIP Alpha 80 for it.  Ironically, the RIP has the RBZ paint scheme.

I’ve tried everything. I actually have a SIM Max 5 wood in the bag. I prefer the Ti version in the 3, and it’s really easy to launch from the fairway. 
 

I had the G425 LST 3 wood earlier this year but the SIM2 Ti was just so much better all around once for my swing I compared them.

16.6 playing a standard Mavrik with Evenflow riptide 6.0. Super easy to hit, fairways and tees. Almost as long as my driver. 😂

HC 2-3. Don't change the fairway wood too often... Don't fix what isn't broken.. Taylormade R9. Fujikura shaft.
