Looking at the rest of the tee times for the day. It’s cool that everything is off the 1st tee but man, waiting until 4.16pm to get out there must be tough.

I personally don't think Spieth with ever win another US Open or PGA, but I could see him rattling off a few Open Champs.  His putter and wedges near the green can be super human when he is on.

Where do you follow every player at the Masters? You certainly can watch every shot after the fact on the app but, just like other big events, there is the main coverage and a couple featured groups.

The frustrating thing is Sky employ the superbly knowledgeable Dom Boulet and the entertaining Tony Johnstone & Anthony Wall but put them on the red button coverage.

Oh come on Sky is pretty great considering what the Americans put up with. 

 

Their worst move was moving Tim Barter to interviews when he's a brilliant instructor and explainer. Instead we get the British version of Peter Kostis, Simon Holmes, who I'm convinced doesn't know his left from right or up from down. His explanations are nonsensical.

To be fair it's incredible he's got a putt to finish level, considering where he's hit it.

 

Only hit 4 fairways. That's not going to work though.

True it's just the shots and you can't follow every player in real time but it's not that far off. Additionally they have feature groups, Amen corner, 15&16 and 4, 5, 6, range in addition to the standard broadcast. 

 

That is unprecedented sports coverage as far as I know.

Let me clarify. I’m not actually reveling in his despair.  And if he were leading I’d not be mad.  But. What I meant was it’s interesting to see that his brand doesn’t seem to work at all here.  He looks like he needs 4 shots a side.

With all the analysis he does, I wonder if he'll learn from watching how Spieth compiled his 65?

That's where I get confused, because the commentators constantly point out where he should have hit iron despite him obviously taking everything into consideration with his approach to the course. We'll see if he changes anything tomorrow, but I doubt it will happen.

Sometimes it takes longer then 18 hole in major tournament conditions to determine if your "brand" works. Guys have off days, weeks, or months, years.

You’d think so.   This is real talk. I think for Bryson to play links golf , he Should carry no woods.  A 16 degree or so driving iron and go.  That and he has to either calculate speed of greens or stop trying to and just feel it.  He left so many putts 6-8 feet short it was shameful.
