Anyone Have An Idea of What TM’s Driver Plans Are for 2022?

How are they different from the SIM2 in tech....same color scheme as the Driver?

I understand the FW are NOT getting the carbon face?

It's pretty neat, way lighter than the conventional face. It's a deep muted red so not too crazy looking.

Yep, thats the part i struggle with.  I have a theory i just thought of though. Everything we have been told or educated about in regards to ct testing is they are measuring the amount of TIME the object is in contact with the face. The higher the time, the more “spring like” the face is. Well what if TM found a loophole around this, in still conforming with the allowed time, but the bounce back SPEED OR REBOUND VELOCITY of the face is greater than older tech. I have heard of a few drivers that would fail COR tests but pass ct tests. COR messured efficiency (smash basically) where as ct just measures time the objects are in contact with each other.

Indeed, that would be both interesting and troublesome as I can imagine it adding fuel to USGA fire re: distance regulation/rollback. I can definitely picture a pitched legal battle should this kind of loophole start to be exploited.

With the original M1, they saved at least 10g by putting replacing some of the titanium crown with composite, so it's easy to see that the 15g range is reasonable by replacing the titanium face and other titanium needed to support the face.

absolutely no doubt this has happened over the past 10 years or so. Drivers are getting longer despite passing the CT test.

I don’t show off my clubs. It’s not an ego thing. I enjoy trying new things. I could care less what people think about my equipment or if they even notice. I carry a 8 year old fairway wood, a Wilson staff hybrid. I use what works best but always searching for something better. The 3 course records I hold are proof I’ve found it a few times too. I used a persimmon driver until 1995 all through playing division 1 golf. When I turned pro I was using the same driver. I play golf to score not to impress my buddies with my equipment. Thanks for judging though 😂

Some slight judgement but I was just joshing. I just replaced my 3w that I had since 2011-12 and I still got my 5w from 2013. Lol so I’m not really of the ilk you think I am.  But that’s great tho 👍🏻
