Well, last year I was on these threads posting about the upcoming SIM2 looking like a strobe-light, and the Epic looking like Incredible Hulk, but I still ended up buying both, Lol!

 

This year I’m going to stay away from criticizing 2022 Driver designs until I can actually see them in person and swing them…getting wiser with age/experience! 😉

I’ve had two different buddies that are fitters tell me G Max heads are the most forgiving, but have slightly lower ball speeds for same SS compared to the hottest heads. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Okay, just read up on all of this. I have to say this driver is UGLY AF, I mean one of the ugliest driver I've ever seen. Red face...seriously TM, a red face?? That being said, I will try it and most likely buy it because I'm a sucker. Carry on.

Haha funny. Just goes to show how widely opinions vary and that it’s impossible to please everyone! From address, I’ll take this driver over either SIM any day! I just can’t look at the picture below and see “ugly” 🤷🏼‍♂️

The driver looks fine.  Liked the old color scheme better but whatever.  The one thing about his picture I don't like is the seams where the dull crown is joined to the shinier body.  Don't know if its the pic or not, but It looks like they forgot to peel some plastic wrap off the head.  Hope it doesn't bother me after I inevitably buy this club.

Agreed. IF that crown is actually dull and it isn't a sticker someone forgot to peel off I will not be buying it. Can anyone confirm who has actually seen the club?

Seems that way to me too.  Almost doesn’t look like the finished product.  I don’t love what appears to be “STEALTH” etched into the crown towards the heel, but if it looks likes the 300 Mini crown in person, I will like it a lot.

Its the red face. Kills it for me. I actually love the SIM and SIM 2. Again, I'll probably buy it anyways.

When zoomed way in I can see what you’re saying about the seam. I bet it’s a resolution issue. Snapped on the DL from several feet away with something less than the latest phone perhaps.

Now on this we agree! Haha. Especially an older Avalanche when the plastic is all faded from the sun… 😫 
I actually like a black satin crown on a driver. Painted one of my old Titleist 905s in black satin and it’s great.

OAN, playing some mens softball I learned that composite bats take awhile to break in before they reach their peak. I wonder if these things will get hotter through time. I can’t hit a driver anyways so I don’t have any skin in the game. #2WoodGang

this was the first thing I thought about as I spent several seasons and ran through so many different composite bats testing out feel and distance and everything else. I'm curious to see if the driver head becomes like the softball bats and they'll slowly break in and get hot and then BAM cracked and split lol

You have to be very careful when looking st pictures. 90% of the time the real thing looks better in person than in pictures. Also the “lipstick” may be customizable, like sim2 was.

 

I think it looks good, the red face doesnt bother me as much as i thought it would. There are definitely uglier drover as seen above…. But to each their own. This really may be all for not anyways because if the speed gains are true, it wont matter what it looks like, people will buy it.

I can see what people mean by the dull crown next to the shiny edge. Would look better if it was the same as the 300 mini. 

But I still like it. I love the red face.

Once you see Rors, DJ, etc all tee it up with Red faced drivers at Kapalua jan6, it will be preorder time.

And then when you tee it up with the same red faced driver and your buds are looking....
