I laugh every time I hear someone judge how a club sits based on a photo!  It’s called camera angle. Case in point. Go look at Sub70 pics on their site and tell me why anyone would buy one of their irons based on the pics? Yet they are damn good looking in person.

I’m not really sure what is okay to share here but I’ve been told that the carbon face is something they have been working on for 22 years. They couldn’t get the spin characteristics exactly right until this latest polymer. The face has 60 layers of carbon and they have the threads going in every direction to strengthen it. The new polymer was able to give them the spin characteristics they wanted. The bottom is all titanium rather than carbon to avoid the cracking they previously had. The CG will be lower than ever due to this. As always, it supposedly looks better in person. 

If this is not supposed to be shared - sorry.

I haven’t hit a Taylormade driver in years, but this one seems to be the driver that is pushing the envelope, both visually and tech wise.

I recently decided to reorder a G425max after canceling an earlier order. The Ping, Titleist and others look hopelessly dated compared to what these pictures are showing with the Stealth.

Whether it translates on the course or not, I don’t know, but TM has definitely won the buzz conversation aspect this year.

Was more looking at the long straight look if the top line with sharper edges. I’m hoping that’s the 9 degree.

I understand the face is going to make this driver, but it's hard to imagine there's going to be a huge difference overall between the sim and the stealth.

So I was looking at the 300 mini again. The Stealth really does look like it’s the same crown as the 300 with a sticker over the carbon… 🤔

I’ve been looking at my OG sim and comparing it to the leaks. The stealth seems to have a more pronounced border along the crown. Where the sim and 300 mini, it seems the carbon goes almost all the way to the edge. Makes the stealth look more rounded in my eyes. Not good or bad. Just what I perceive. Probably prefer the more carbony look to the last few models also.

Correct. It’s just a different presentation of the same thing. All drivers are nowadays.

Here are my conspiracy theories...

1. The full matte crown we are seeing so far is a cover up (a sticker). There's a carbon fiber pattern under there somewhere (maybe a tinge of red?) but TM doesn't want that to be seen yet.

2. Both the text and the white lines on the face are also a sticker. There's a definite outline around the face in this pic.

 

Obviously these are just guesses, and probably wrong ones.

In case exactly what happened happened! Someone sneaks a pic!  Same reason automakers do this to new cars during testing. ⬇️ No stickers on retail heads and the Stealth crown look just like the 300 mini crown. Just a guess of course.

this must be what MGS was talking about when they said a few months ago they knew of one OEM coming out with a game changer in the driver cat.  They didn’t want to say who it was but I’m guessing this was it.

Could he cobra...bryson said drivers are made wrong. I think he cracked the code...

@TiScape looking at both side by side, either the stealth got captured at the worst possible angle/lighting, or we're not looking at the final version, bc the stealth looks awful in comparison.  

 

I'm preordering day 1 regardless, but look forward to seeing better pics.

I thought it could be that as well but this just seems like something more advanced with the material used.  I love Bryson but sometimes he just says stuff on his Insta and YT channels to get views and also I think partially to make up for what he said about them at The Open.
