OK, I see what TM did here. They're actually trying to solve their supply chain issues, albeit indirectly. 

 

Knowing 2022 will likely still be very tough for them to ship clubs out, they made the thing so ugly that people won't buy them, and defer their driver purchase to 2023 to when TM supply chain opens up. It's a 2023 play. Brilliant

gimmick or game changer?

 

Hit it once, felt basically like a normal driver. Maybe a touch quieter, sole is Titanium though. The face paint and texture was a necessity our rep said but I cannot remember at all right now off the top of my head why that was. It’s weird at address though!

What's the big issue with the text being white on the face? I don't even really see the face on my driver right now at address and even if you do see it I would think the fact that it is RED would stand out a bit more than a couple white lines and text

Couldn't agree more, as it appears in these pics it SCREAMS Dick's Sporting Goods exclusive.  Not that there's anything wrong with that....

I totally agree with the the fact that you won't notice it at address. That's not the issue. To me it's just seems unnecessary and unattractive in general. We already have a red face that screams "look at me!!" To me that seems like enough.

 

I'm not one to get hung up on this stuff. I'll certainly give it a shot.

While the face may be "controversial," I think the Stealth is one of the best looking TM drivers in recent memory. I see the DNA of the R15 Black and a continuation of that design language, if you will.

It’s the draw bias model so it probably is closed.

I can see the seam or joint around the crown where it meets the face frame and aluminum ring bothering people if it is as pronounced as in the picture.

If the camera was moved one inch to the left it would look 2* open…it’s just the camera angle

Was at my local golf club today. I asked about the TM driver. The head pro said it’s a great stick. He said TM is all in on carbon faced clubs and he expects other OEM’s will be too if the material benefits and durability can match or exceed that of titanium.

I lost no money in trying these clubs. Basically I bought them used on Offerup and then sell them back a few weeks later for the same price.

You could have lofted down with the SIM drivers. Much better way of dialing in flight anyways.

yea i think this is a bit nitpicky. You will not see that at address.

Face angles are such a royal PITA to photograph, however I wouldn't be surprised if that one did sit more closed since its the draw biased version.

The face isn’t as red as the pic looks.  It’s more toned down in person. Best TM driver I’ve hit.  Sound and feel are incredible.  Also ball speed and off center hits are more forgiving than the SIM2 line.  They spin less on high face contact as well.  Durability is not an issue.   Can’t wait.
